I purchased Puerto Rican cookery by Carmen Aboy Valldejull. I was very impressed by the claity of all the recipes. All the ingredients were easy to purchase in the local supermarket. Every recipie I made came out true to form.

My grandmother had this book in spanish,and referenced almost daily. I now proudly own it and tresure the handwritten anotations she made in the margins.It is a must have for the adventurous cook.Our cuisine is flavorful yet not overly spicy like mexican food can sometimes be.
Puerto Rican cuisine is a wonderful melee of cultures With its roots being european, african and indian.The book has easy to follow recipes .I have purchased this book as gifts for my daughter in laws in English and for friendsA great addition to your cookbook collection.The ingrediants and spices for most of the dishes can be found at your local supermarket.
