Psychology by David G. Myers (2006, Hardcover)

I bought this book for a psychology 101 class.

Con: The book talks a bit over your head. Many times I had to refer to a dictionary to look up words I had never heard of before. When introducing a subject, in some sections the information wasn't presented in a way that people in my class could understand it. I personally had a lot of trouble understanding certain concepts of the book. Many examples did not make sense and drifted away from the subject leaving everyone confused. Multiple times I had to refer to outside sources to explain the concepts the book didn't explain in a manor that was understandable.
I definitely do not recommend this book for an introduction to psychology.
Its also quite heavy.

Pro: Has many interesting theory's and facts in it.

I purchased this book from a seller who was no longer a registered member within the shipping period and of course I never got my item. I suggest the buyers to check the status of the seller in addition to looking at the rating. Be aware of the status of the seller!

I bought this book back in January for school it's now march and I still have not reiceived the book I purchased nor I have I heard fro the seller's or e-bay on the matter. I will never purchase my school material from e-bay again.

I Purchase the book August 18, 2008 and I never receive it. I e-mail the seller several time, he never respond to any of my e-mail. It's been over a month since I filed a claim and no one ever email me. Therefore I would not recommend to use Ebay or Half.com for your purchase unless you want to lose you money.

I bought this book because it was a required text in my psychology class. I have learned a lot of new things since I bought it. It is a fascinating book.

i loved the fact that it was BRAND NEW! no marks or anything. it just took a while to be shipped in. other than that everything was great!

I can't really say any good things about this purchase because I never received it. Now there are 4 weeks left in the semester and I still have no book for my psychology class. I have had to do all my studying based on my notes which is not enough because my teacher doesn't go over everything it class. So to answer the question, I definitley disliked it.

It's a text book, so I had to get it, since I was taking the class. You never really have a choice in that kind of stuff. I haven't started using it yet...but it should be good. The workbook is nice too.

I can't say much about the book since the seller never bothered to mail it to me or issue me a refund !!!

We find eBay a great place to save money on our college books at Indiana University. As soon as classes are over, we turn around and resell them on eBay or half.com, sometimes selling them for more than we paid!

Shipping too a little long, but the book was okay when it arrived. The corners were a littl scuffed and the binding was torn, but still all in good condition. Thanks!~

I bought if for a psychology class, but used it very little. What I did notice was that it did go into detail for all topics and explained everything to the extent for anyone to understand.

The book is in excellent condition and was half the price of my bookstores price! The seller even shipped it out the day I bought it. Definitely a great choice of sellers to buy from.

I'm very grateful I was able to purchase this book from this member for $40 cheaper than what my school was selling it for. However, shipment took forever...don't really think it was the seller's fault...but still sucked since class had already started. Either way, kudos!

I bought it for my Psychology class in college. I like how things are set up. It is easy to find information. I also really like that the key terms are at the end of each chapter and indicates what page those are on.
