The Psycho Realm by Psycho Realm (CD, Oct-1997, Ruffhouse)

This is probably one of the best albums of all time. At the end of the era where playing a CD from start to finish was at it's end... Psycho Realm, with the help of B-Real dropped a gem. This self titled album is timeless... regardless of how often it's played it'll never lose it's impact. Beats from the dark side mixed with tribal sampling and raw drums make every track a straight up banger. The raspy voice of Duke joined with the hypnotic delivery of his brother Jacken combine and create one of the most unique groups of all time. The addition of B-Real of Cypress Hill catapulted the group's career and launch of the self titled debut. Tracks such as "Confessions of a Drug Addict," "Psycho City Blocks," "Showdown," "The Big Payback," "Stone Garden" and "La Conecta" stand out on the first listen. But don't be fooled, every song on this album packs an enormous punch. This is what good music is... don't sleep.

I FIRST BOUGHT THIS ALBUM WHEN IT WAS FIRST RELEASED IN 1997. I LOVED IT, ENJOYED IT AND LISTENED TO IT ALL OF THE TIME. BUT, UNFORTUNETELY I LET A "FRIEND" BORROW IT AND NEVER SAW IT AGAIN. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS ALBUM FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW BUT NEVER FOUND A BRAND NEW, STILL IN THE PLASTIC WRAPPER CD UNTILL I SAW THIS ONE. AND OF COURSE I HAD TO JUMP ON IT. I'LL MAKE SURE I DON'T LET ANYONE BORROW THIS ONE.
