Protector of the Flight (2007, Paperback)

I had read the first 2 books in this series, Guardian of Honor and Sorceress of Faith and had enjoyed them. That is why I bought this book.

I enjoyed this one as it focus on another segment of the Llandrana society in their turbulent times. It is the story of Calli & Marrec and it deals alot with horses; flying Volarans, regular horses and, in the end, Lipizzaners. There is a twist in the last third of the book that might put others off, but I found a nice "Snap". Calli & Marrec help each other heal emotional wounds. More is reaveled about the Singer who is the head of Llandran society. And abot the Dark who wants to destry Llandaran.

It may have helped I have always been been crazy about the Lippizaner and their Airs above th Ground dressage movements so it made the Volarans/Chevaliers Exotique a fine horse tale for me
