The Proposal (DVD, 2009)

Sandra Bullock (Miss Congeniality and many more) stars with Ryan Reynolds (Definitely, Maybe + More).

Bullock is Margaret, the hard nosed editor at a book publishing house and Reynolds is Andrew, her executive assistant (actually her 24 hour get me what I want man).

When Margaret is threatened with deportation back to her home country of Canada she concocts a scheme to get married to Andrew so she can stay in the US and save her job. To get andrew to agree to this, she threatens him (actually blackmails is a better word) and finally he agrees to go along with it.

The plot unfolds from there as the young couple head off to Alaska to meet Andrews parents and celebrate his grandmothers 90th birthday.

And here we have the best part of the entire movie. Grandma is played by Betty White (who actually will be celebrating her 90th birthday in 2012). Ms White is one the television and motion picture Icons who lights up any screen she appears on and she does not hold anything back in this movie. It is worth the price of this DVD just to see her performance.

Also starring in this movie are: Malin Akerman, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Oscar Nuñez and Aasif Mandvi

The movie is VERY predictable but it was also VERY funny and Betty White was great. So get this one and have a good laugh.

Rated PG13 for some brief semi nudity and sexual humor.

This movie is hilarious, yet still heart felt...It is a must see! Very enjoyable...almost made me pee my pants! haha

Fun to watch, great movie, very funny and sweet at the same time. You will have a relaxed and fun time watching this movie.

I saw this twice in theaters and wanted to buy it to see again. It's a great romantic comedy that even the guys like. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to sit back, relax, and have a good laugh with someone you love or just a group of friends!

I am excited to start watching my recently purchased DVD. A did however, did not understand why it took so long for shipping from Florida to Oregon. Over a week.

I love the DVD because I really like Sandra Bullock in most anything. She is a great actress. I saw the movie twice in the theatres and couldn't wait until it came out on DVD.

Ryan Reynolds & Sandra Bullock do a wonderful job at spicing things up and making a comical film about 'the proposal' I think the commercials for the movie give a bit too much up, but it still has enough twists in it to keep a person interested and laughing.

I saw this movie with my husband. He refused to see it with me but he did. He started to enjoy the movie rigth away. I was pleasantly surprise! He liked so much that after we returned the rental he went to ebay and got the movie for us.
It is a very nice, fresh, sweet comedy. Hope you enjoy the movie.

Definitely one of my favorites! Plenty of hilarious moments that'll get you laughing out loud! While some may consider it a chick-flick, guys will think it's funny too! One of Sandra Bullock's best movies, and one of the best out this year!

Sandra Bullock Dominates in the AWESOME movie! Every minute is either comedy or true acting. I was so surprised to see such a well acted movie for sandra bullock but here it is. I highly recommend this for all ages over 11.

The movie is funny with witty worded humor. My friend said she loves Sandra Bullock, and we both agreed that it was good comedy. Bottom line, my best friend loved it, and I totally wasn't bored. Well worth the watch, in my humble opinion.

Movie was funny, enjoyable despite reviews I read. Scenery of Alaska was beautiful - I have first had experience x 3 traveling to Alaska.

This is the funniest movie I have seen in a while. My friends are all getting it for a Christmas present.
