Propeller Handbook by Dave Gerr (1989)
This is not casual reading. If you need to find the right propeller for a custom boat, this will show you how to do it, but you must study the whole book to be sure you are doing it right. If you have a stock boat with the standard engine, just find out what the stock propeller is. If you have a stock boat with a non-standard engine of known power and rpm, you can probably find information online to guide you to the right propeller. If you have an outboard, you can get the information from the engine manufacturer. If you just enjoy doing the figuring, this book will show you how to do it. It is the authoritative book on the subject.
