Promises in Death by Nora Roberts (2009, Hardcover)

This is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read this latest edition. You were such a fast shipper that I haven't caught up on my other book. Thanks again for being such a great e-bayer...great prices and fast delivery.

I haven't found a J.D.Robb story (Nora Roberts) that I haven't liked. This is another story that shows Eve Dallas' caring nature for her friends and the dead that she stands for. She is a great cop, with a wonderful, supporting hunk of a husband who owns anything and everything, truly awesome friends and supportive fellow police co-workers. I can't wait to read the next book - she can't write them fast enough.

Excellent as usual! Plot, characters, suspense - everything perfect. JDRobb will always be a favorite.

Promises has really put JD Robb back at the top. The story goes smoothly and never lags throughout the whole book. It was so good, I actually couldn't stand to put it down to take a break or until I thought my "eyes would bleed," as Dallas says. As good as it was Robb did miss a step in regards to one of the bad guys (no names)who'd been put in a mental defective prison in a previous story because the drugs he'd taken so long had made him a complete psycho. In this story he's in a maximum security prison. Otherwise, it was top of the line Lieutenant Eve Dallas at her best.

This is the latest book in the Dallas and Rourke love story/detective series. It does not disappoint and definitely has quite a few surprises as to who the real killer is. In this particular chapter of this futuristic detective story, Dallas shows tremendous growth and actually shows her feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, love the butler, and all the characters that make up Dallas and Rourke's friends. Definitely worth the read if you are a Nora Roberts' fan.

I love this series. Nora Roberts aka J D Robb has really developed the characters in this series. I enjoy all of them. This book had a different twist with the religion aspect and that made the book very interesting. I would highly recommend it to readers of futuristic romance mystery.

Good continuation of the series- Its nice to know more about Morris and his background, etc. Guessed the killer early on but not for the expected reason.

JD Robb has done it again. It ended too soon. Left me wanting for more. I wish the next new one was ready to grab. I hope she keeps on adding new books to the IN DEATH series. My only negative for this particular one is that I felt there was a bit less of Roark this go round and it was a bit less of their personal and fun times with no trip to somewhere in the mix. But I still enjoyed it tremendously.

As usual J D Robb (Nora Roberts) delivers a great book. I have read every book she has written and they just keep getting better and better. I can't wait for the next one!

couldn't put it down just like always with JD Robb/Nora Roberts.....twisted ending that is not figured out halfway through the book like most. Love the update on the relationships Eve has developed since meeting Rourke. I read all of Nora Roberts books and have yet to be disapointed in any of the JD Robb series. Love the characters and plots.

I love this series. I became obsessed with it a few years back. I have read the entire series at least twice and I could read them again and still love them. It is a very realistic future fiction that has character that you can't help to love.

I have the entire colloection of In Death series. each book keeps me in suspense until the very end.
