The Private Eyes (DVD, 2000)

My husbands favorite movie as a child and with your help I was able to get him a copy. I am very pleased also with the quick delivery and I thank you.

I love Conway and Knotts together; they are hilarious. This movie reminds me of the game "Clue" and the "Pink Panther" movies rolled into one. The constant references to the legendary ‘Wokalar’ by Conway are the best.

I did not find anything about the movie I didn’t like. It is an older movie that was put on DVD in 2000 but dates back probably to the late 1970’s. I was aware of this before buying it so I was not bothered by it.

When you put Tim Conway and Don Knotts together, you always get slapstick comedy at it's best. We bought the movie after renting it because we knew it would be one that we would watch again and again.
This movie has a decent plot if you like the who dun its. Your entire family can watch it - except for one scene that has the two detectives peeping in on the main character as she is changing clothes- I think that that was the only offensive scene. Little ones shouldn't view the murder scenes-my youngest is 10 and she was fine with it.

I have always liked Tim Conway. Don Knotts was the perfect partner for this movie. Every time I see it I can't help but roll when they are standing in "Horse Neers" as Tim Conway puts it. Another great scene is when Tim Conway is trying to get Don Knotts to regurgitate the "Buzzard Puss" by telling him to drink these terrible things to make him gag. This is a really great all time classic comedy.

Private Eyes was filmed on the Biltmore Estate of Ashville, NC. I remember as a child this movie facinated me because I had actually been to the place it was filmed and it showed lots of extra doors and passage ways that are totally unnoticeable during the tour, but they are there!!! The DVD was much lighter and the castle more beautifully shown than in the film or Video versions. I am not a big slap stick fan and as far as the movie goes it was slow and hard to catch the humor...the script actually reads funny, but it is hard to catch verbally. Still a family classic and a worth see. I agree with those who said it was a tad on the expensive side. I usually don't spend more than $10 or $15 on reimenising...

used to watch this movie as a kid could'nt find this movie anywhere in local stores found it on ebay though. tim conway and don knotts make a great team.the only thing i dislike about this dvd is the price but if you can't find it stores what else can you do except pay a premuim.

Well, I decided to buy this one of a kind dvd because of the actors in it Tim Conway & Don Knotts. Two legendary icons of the entertainment world & it's Slap Stick comedy I used to have it on vhs but while moving it got misplaced so I searched the internet but couldn't find it. So I check Ebay & found it here.

Reminds me of watching it when I was younger. It will always make me laugh. It in my opionion is a classic.

i love both tim conway and don knotts and watch a lot of their movies and this one is my favorites.
my dad watches this so it's a good family movie to watch together.

I loved this movie. As a child I grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show with Don Knotts. I always enjoyed his goofy, yet straight laced character Barney Fife. Likewise, I have always enjoyed the other main character in this movie, Tim Conway. Tim Conway has always been such a silly, likable, slapstick character.I remember the first time
I watched these two stars joined in The Apple Dumpling Gang. It was great! The Private Eyes, is more of the same. The pair are sent to investigate the murder of a wealthy English Lord, playing roles similar to (Inspector Winship) a.k.a. Sherlock Holmes and (Dr, Tart) Doctor Watson. Within the first five minutes of the start of the movie they already have a wake of mishaps and confused people left adrift behind them. From then on, it is everthing you'd expect to find in a murder mystery, turned on it's head.

You will be rewarded at the end with a special treat, a Half man, half pig monster hailing from Eygpt, The Wookalar.

"Private Eyes" is a classic look at the murder/mystery genre through Tim Conway & Don Knott's eyes. Knotts is thoroughly entertaining as the very determined, yet flustered Inspector Winship, while Conway's Dr. Tart leaves you laughing with his comic genius and timing. Anyone that is a fan of the Carol Burnett Show, Cannonball Run movies, or just loves to laugh will enjoy this movie.

I bought this DVD when I found it on EBAY. When I received the movie it was in excellent condition and my husband is very happy as we have been looking for it for a long time. Thank You so very much.

It is just a classic. We all love to sit here and watch this movie. We love just about any movie with those two in it. I just love it when my kids like the movies that I grew up on. There is still some values left in this world. This is just a classic comedy without all the cursing or sexual content. It is just a really funny movie for the whole family to enjoy.

I decided to buy this DVD because I lost mine to a flood. The quality of the product is excellent. It has never been opened prior to my purchase. It is a classic that use to be hard to find.

Have this movie on vhs and just loved it but needed dvd so I can get rid of my vhs. Dvd's are easier to store they don't take up as much room. I have a lot of other movies I need to replace for vhs that I truly love.

I love the product, but I ended up paying more for the product after I clicked commit to buy... I could have had free shipping, but would have had to wait a verrrrrry long time for it to ship... I felt advertising free shipping, but then if you want it to ship within 3-7 business days it costs extra was misleading.

I have "The Private Eyes" on VHS and love the movie so I purchased it on DVD as a Christmas Present for my wife and figuring that DVD should last longer than VHS. Also, we wanted the DVD version after visiting The Biltmore House where he movie was filmed.

It is a very funny movie with Don Knotts and Tim Conway.
