Prisoner of Tehran by Marina Nemat (2007)
It's unbelievable that religion could bring out such cruelty in human beings. I cannot imagine what Marina had to go through during her years as a (child) prisoner and then the burden she secretly had to bear inside her during her days in Canada.
I was invited to a book club reading and I wanted to read the book before I go.
It was wonderful meeting Marina. May peace and happiness be with you Marina.
