Prison Break - Season 1 (DVD, 2009, 6-Disc Set)

I can't wait for season 2. I could not stop watching. Each episode was well thought out and the cliff hangers at the end of each episode made me want to keep watching. You won't be disappointed. There is a lot of violence so if that is not your cup of tea then you won't like this show. But if you are looking for something different in a TV show then this is it.

I give everything a chance, but i just could not seee where this series was goingto go, or how far it could go.. so I admit I stopped watching. Now that it is out on dvd I am sure i will not buy it but I may rent it to see if i was right, or was I wrong can you take a series that has a guy doomed for death and strech it out over what, how many years?? I will have to give this another try

If you enjoy lots and lots of action, coupled with lots of intelligent strategy this is the one for you.

My first inclination was that I wouldn't enjoy this, but the character development is incredible; the "strategy" (without giving anything away) completely keeps you guessing and you are constantly sitting on the edge of your seat.

I am not a big TV watcher, but I love this show. If you like 24 - you should really try this. Excellent show. I highly recommend it!

im not a tv watcher but i liked this show. im going to wait till it comes down a little more. but all in all i liked it.

This is the best show that I have ever watched on a TV series. Everytime a new show comes on, you can't really think it can get any better. This show just keeps getting better and better every Monday. That is why I bought this DVD set, to be able to re-live every Monday all at one time. I give this show two thumbs up. If I had three hands I would give it three thumbs up.

I was unable to watch this tv show on a regular basis, so I bought season one on dvd. I wasted an entire weekend glued to the television watching the episodes one after another. I thought only HBO was capable of quality shows, such as the Sopranos, Deadwood and Sex and the City. Prison Break lives up to all my expectations though and I am glad I took a chance on this show. Plus Wentworth Miller is easy on the eyes! I am now a fan and cant wait for season two! Highly recommended dvd set, with great bonus features.

the story just keeps rolling and makes you want to know, "what the f*** happens next?"
I bought it because at $26, it's a steal. check your local wal-mart or preferred dvd purchase center and you'll notice it's about 40 to $60. not bad at all

I just started watching Prison Break this summer. I finished season one and I am totally hooked. The show has suspense, action, humor, and mystery. The show gives the audience insight into the characters lives, and I feel as though I know them personally. Wentworth Miller is an awesome actor and I believe that he is really in prison. The acting by the other actors is superb. Season one was AWESOME and I can only imagine that season two will be equally good. You will not be disappointed with this show!

I love that you truly don't know what's coming from one minute to the next. It is a violent show to be sure and I typically don't care for this type of drama, but because the writing is excellent and the acting is good it seems I can over look the violence. Their is even some humor.

I actually purchased two sets of this. One was sent to a friend for christmas, she got it on time. The second set was for me, purchased in Nov and still not received :-(. I am having withdrawal because I can't see my show. I usually don't watch tv, however, the tv is reserved for me and Prison Break on Monday nights.

It is DEFINATELY THE ABSOLUTE BEST WEEKLY SERIES ON TV. NO OTHER SHOW COMES CLOSE TO TOPPING THIS ONE. I have watched since day one and every week this show leaves you at the point of being right on the edge of the couch, then it ends. You get to think about it all week and wonder what is going to happen, it usually does not happen the way you think so you are shocked and on the edge of your seat with the next one. My husband thought I was crazy in the beginning for watching a show about a bunch of prisoners. THEN - HE GOT HOOKED. To anyone who has not seen the show or has only seen a couple of episodes, give it a real try, you will also become hooked and will understand and become one of US PRISON BREAKERS!!!

THE NEXT SEASON, WOW I am counting the days until it comes on. Can't wait and am continually thinking about what is going to happen next on the show.

This show will keep you on the edge of your seat! This is my favorite show! I watched season one on t.v. and loved it! I could not wait for season two to come so I purchased the Prison Break Season One set on eBay to get my fix! I got it for a great price too! Much less than the MSRP! I'm glad I got this set because I was able to catch up on some of the details that I had missed.

Can't really say whose acting job I like the best because they're all great!

Now I've got my fix and season two is just as good as the first! Can't wait until the DVD set for Season two comes out! Don't know how many seasons they're planning on running but I'll be there for each one! The plot thickens with each episode. How they manage to drag each episode further is beyond me but they keep the viewers wanting more. The writers of this show are the real geniuses!

I love this show I am hooked without a doubt the excitment and suspense is at times furstrating, but I always tune in for the new episodes can't get enough of Lincoln and Michael. The way the plots are worked out are so captivating how could you not get hooked week in and week out.The writers have done a excellent job twisting the characters into place. Making you think someting you would expect to happen and boom the unexpected happens. If you haven't watched Prision Break you don't know what you are missing.

This show is fantastic. If you like the Shawshank Redemption (my favorite movie) you should like this one. I cannot say enough or describe it or give it adequate justice. Buy the series and enjoy it. It is a wow! If ylu like Shawshank, trust me on this one.

Who would have thought that a show about a plan to break out of prison could be so entertaining and be so well written that it took 22 episodes for the prison break to happen, and yet we loved every minute of it and could not wait for the next season to start.
The show has an amazing cast. They all gave 120% in every episode and added a bit of their own flavor to their characters. Wentworth Miller [Michael] gives an outstanding performance as the brother with the plan and the map[very clever tattoo]to make the break happen.
There are 6 great commentarys, deleted scenes and a Making of Prison Break featuette that make this dvd set a must have for your collection.

Incredibly well written, fast paced, A+ in my book! This series reminded me of 24 in it's intensite, and ability to draw me into episode after episode even when I should have been doing something else. I've heard it described as a cross between Oz and The Shawshank Redemption, which is pretty close. I can't wait for season 2!

Personally, I think this is the BEST T.V. show out there, and may of it's other viewera usaully say the same. Michael Scofield makes an ingenious plan of escape, as time is running out with his brother's death penalty. There is not a more origonal plot out there, and not one so thrilling. The prison life portrayed in this series is utterly realistic, and you can tell the creators put much effort into accomplishing this. I say buy it, you'll enjoy it, no matter what you enjoy!

This show is just unmatched. Prison Break deserved much more national reconition, and I cannot see why it isn't up there with 24 because it is just as good. Besides the great character development, and the heart-pounding turns of events, one simple thing about the show that I love, is the effectiveness of the diolauge despite not being able to use expletives. Best show I have ever seen.

Plenty of intrigue and action in this series with Michael Scofield as a dark genius with a plan to break his brother out of prison. His brother of course is innocent, frame by some government agency. Also plenty of action on the out side with Michael Burrows girlfriend trying to find out who set him up. Of course there's some corrupt government agents involved in the whole thing as well. Great series.

I like the fact I could purchase this DVD without paying an arm and a leg for it. I refuse to pay retail prices anymore. I will always look on ebay to find products. Seller and product, I am very pleased with.

We missed season one of prison break, so I bid on this set & won. Got it for a great price & received it in a timely fashion.
The first season was awesome! My husband & I sat up LATE for 3 nights & watched & finished it because it was so good.
