Principles of Microeconomics by N. Gregory Mankiw (2006, Paperback)

I just finish my Micro class, and this book was very helpful!!
Easy to understand and a lot of examples.

Microeconomics is hard to understand but this book explains it quite well. I've read a couple of books on the subject and I really like this one the best. The author also has a helpful website and blog that helps in the understanding as well. Don't hesitate it's a good buy.

The book doesn't give many examples of the problems that are typical for the quizzes and tests.
You need a bit of algebra background before taking a class using this book.

Mankiw's Principle of macroeconomics and microeconomics are both required texts by my college. I've read them both and really appreciated his teaching approach. It's very unbiased, while still having some subtle personal touches here and there. A controversial or diffinitve issue/topic is always noted as such, with each party's opinions noted. Both texts have plenty of relatable material for students, also containing visuals and news topics. Mankiw keeps it educational and entertaining. This reviewer gives it an A, it's a GREAT text book. If I had to make a critism, I would like to see some of the chapters a little more simplified (not quite as wordy).

Excellent service, fast and reliable. I saved $40 by buying it online. The ideas and concepts presented in this book are relevant and useful. The author employs modern examples and connections to illustrate his points, there are some jokes here and there so it's not completely dry. I am having fun studying this subject.

I bought this book by searching for the ISBN number of the "American Edition". However, when i got it, it turned out to be an Indian edition instead. What really pissed me off is that the owner tried to cut out the "India" on both the cover and the back. This shows the fact that he was trying to avoid people noticing this book was an India Edition. India Edition is made out of cheap paper and has NO COLOR!.

What also dishonest with this seller that i paid for expedite shipping but he used media mail instead. How do i know? Because on the box that the book was in had "media mail" stamped all over by it.

Honestly though, I went back and read the description of the book and it does say that it was an international, but i swear that i never saw that before when i made the purchase. I'm sure i read the description when i bought it. Is it possible to change a description of an item after someone had already bought it?

I even emailed the guy telling him i was not happy with his dishonesty, yet he never replied to try to resolve anything. This is the first time i had any problem like this with ebay.

The content of the book is great and it's really easy to understand.

i am learning a lot from this book. it is an enjoyable read and it explains clearly step by step supply and demand. i am only in my 2nd semester and i feel like i learned a lot from this book rather then my macroeconomics text.

it's a great book. it's understandable and makes more sense than the previous book I ordered. I bought it for a microeconomics class and what i like about it is that it it gives charts below the descriptions.

This book is pretty good to learn the basics of microeconomics. Since there are so many real life examples using the principles of microeconomics, it is interesting and easy to read. I strongly recommend this book for beginners of microeconmics.

The price for this book is fair and the content is very clear to readers.
It is an excellent source for people who are learning the basics of microeconomics. It contains many useful details of the operations in an economy and actual event analysis.

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS THE INTERNATIONAL VERSION. It is almost the same as the English version, but several of the exercises have been altered or changed entirely. I cannot find a good reason for the changes. In fact the whole book looks like it was written for the sake of scamming poor students for their money. The author seems aware of many of the bad things that happen in our societies, and perhaps he is not behind all this. Well the book teaches the subject effectively, and I guess when you need a certain book to take a class, you have to get it.

this book is great for students in their first economics course. teaches you all the aspects of the economy and how the investors look at the economy. great book!!

I love this book because is paperback. My professor request that the students should carry it to class each time. Therefore, it's easy to place it in my bag. Unlike, my other classmates they have to carry the hardcover which is very heavy. This was an excellent purchase.The book was in perfect condition and brand new. A paid less than the running price offered of the hardcover.

I paid for the book and never received it. Also filed a claim with ebay for a reimbursement over a month ago and have not received anything from them.

I bought this book for my brother's economics class. The book looks new and it does not have many writing on it.

Altough the book had a "Used" sticker on the back, the book came in good timing, shape and price, good seller!!!

This book was in great condition and I'm very happy with my purchase. As a first time buyer, it was everything I needed.

somehow the book is lost during shipping, but the seller's response on that issue is fast. Hopefully, this kind of issue won't happen again.

My headache ended as I found what I was looking for in one book. I have found it very difficult to put it down. This title has become my companion. It is an excellent book no student would want to lay down.

With all due respect, it is a textbook for college that is a mandatory pick for the class I am taking. It does look more informative than some of the ones on the web. I did not have my text for my first exam and Googled questions.

well i read the book after reading my teachers slide show and attening the lecture. it more like three resources for me. i will say the book was good. i really can't say if i unerstood the class ecause of just the book for because ihad three resources. overall easy class for me!
