I love watching The Prince of Egypt/ JosephAs I was growing up, I always liked watching these movies with my younger brother. I thought it was very educational and was really interested since it's about part of the bible. I have a 3 year old son now and wanted him to learn in a way he would enjoy. He is still young right now but he seems like he likes the movie.

Great movies, possibly a bit scary for little ones
) Both movies were surprisingly good to me. The stories are pretty close to the Old Testament stories as I remember them (with a few changes here and there, but nothing that will make the story unrecognizable to children). As with more and more high-quality animated movies these days, there is plenty of dialog "for the grownups" interleaved with the story. The Prince of Egypt has some parts that were a bit scary for my younger kids (implied violence) so that is something to consider w/ little ones. But overall these are at the same time entertaining and instructive. We watch them (both) almost every week.
