Prince of Darkness (DVD, 2003)

Prince of Darkness. This is really cool movie that is a slow builder but once it gets going it really cooks. Stick with the beginning, you'll be glad you did.

If you sit down, dissect this movie, study its contents and dialog and truly believe that Satan will surface someday, then this is scary s***! Sure the acting is shaky but some scenes are the best/most classic ever witnessed. Plus, soundtracks don't get any better than this. PRAY FOR DEATH mortal morons.

This is a classic horror flick by one of the masters of horror- John Carpenter. Carpenter weaves the ultimate tale in a battle of good vs evil. Donald Pleasance, a mainstay in Carpenter films, is great along with a cameo by a creepy Alice Cooper. Another Carpenter gem!

I remember seeing it in the theater when I was 13 and I can't remember being so scared at the movies, despite being with a full audience. The story, the suspense, the sense of doom and horror looming over the likable but unsuspecting victims, the seemingly unfair and episodic way each of them is brutally picked off, one by one. I still get the creeps whenever I see it. Carpenter's most underrated film.

I like Alice Cooper.You don`t see this guy so often acting in movies.And the title caught my Attention.Alice Cooper has an Album with the Title prince of Darkness.In my Opinion he is one of the best Rockers Ever I love his shows and you don`t see guys like him anymore.

First of all, I love end of the world scenarios, and this is one of them. Combining religion, science, and a creepy atmosphere; make this a horror film that touches all bases. The special effects, although subtle, are excellent. The actors (quite a few recognizable faces)is very good. The direction of John Carpenter proves once again; how he can make you jump out of your skin over and over again, as the plot builds towards its hideous finale.

I like to see B films (Roger Corman, George Romero, John Carpenter...).
The pathetic silences, the bad light in several scenes, dead pan of some actors. It's a perfect dark atmosphere and a original story.

One of john Carpenter's best. Some great scare scenes. Brings back memories of classic chiller theater or creature feature programs of the 1970's.
