Prey is good but let's not get carried away...

I would give this game a 3.5 out of 5, but I guess that rounds up to 4. Prey is a good game, but it doesn't offer much that you haven't seen already. If you enjoy slightly intelligent shooters with not a lot of fluff, then Prey is exactly what you want. However, there is an extreme lack of enemy diversity and parts of the game near the end real seem to drag on and on. The puzzles won't bend your mind, but they shouldn't have to, this is an FPS after all.
Bright Spots: Portal system is awesome and messes with your mind, opening intro level is extremely cool, atmosphere is very creepy (very subtle things like the Art Shell radio program suck you right in), decent amount of "that was AWESOME" fights.
Low Spots: It feels a little like a Doom 3 mod, you fight the same enemies over and over and over and over, parts of the game near the end go on too long, "spirit mode" should have been so much more flushed out instead of being limited to walking and shooting an arrow, voice acting will make you laugh at parts where you probably shouldn't.
