Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails (CD, Jan-1989, TVT USA)

This was the only CD I was missing in my NIN collection so I had to get it. The songs were great - you can always tell a NIN song from any other that plays on the radio. Trent's vocals are fantastic and the beats are strong and unique, as they always are. This is an older CD, but I still love listening to it.

I found a CD that not even I-tunes had! My husband was so excited that his "AWESOME" wife found the CD he lost years ago! Only on EBAY!

What hasn't already been said about Pretty Hate Machine, Trent Reznor's Industrial but accessible CD from 1989? I actually purchased this CD when it was released (as a cassette!) - and bought this particular one on eBay for a friend of mine who is just discovering Nine Inch Nails - I'm not a big fan of re-issues, so I insisted that it be on the original label, TVT, and not Rykodisc. For those of you who think that NIN's influence on music today began with The Downward Spiral, you need to own this - and get Broken, too, while you're collecting...there is not one bad song on PHM, it never gets tired and is as current today as it was 16 years ago. Get a copy. Now.

I wanted to reminisce about my teenage goth freak days, so I ordered the CD. Death poetry, purple hair, nose rings, and being depressed. It evoked it all! It hit the mark!

This CD is awesome!! It was especially a jewel since it's the original one before they re-pressed them and made the CD's pink. This is a classic NIN CD that any fan should own, and is also a great place to start for any new fans of his music.

This is probably one of the best albums by NIN... It will always be one of my favorites........................................................

Absolutely love this album. It is definitely a must have for any rock/metal/alternative/industrial/progressive music fan. The 1989 TVT US version of this CD is no longer sold, however, a German label released it also. I am a purist so I decided to purchase the original version of this album. Trent Reznor pioneered a new sound on this CD and the songs never get old.

This is the best CD. I had it when I was younger and loved it. Could not get from itunes so had to buy online. I would highly recommend it!

I had this cd before. I had lost it sometime in the past. When i thought about buying this cd on E-Bay,I was stoked!! This is a all time favorite for any "NIN"fan!Get this cd!!

This is by far my favorite CD from Nine Inch Nails and I would list this CD in my top five favorite CDs of all time. I love the electronic techno rock sound, its very original sounding and I can listen to this CD over and over again, from beginning to end.

NIN is coming to Pittsburgh in June 2009 and I will be there front and center to see them!

One of the first CD's that I ever purchased back in the early 90's. I had long lost this cd. Over the years, i sold, lost or broke the majority of my cd's and also discarded all of the cases. Late in the year, i decided to start all over on my cd collection. I immediately began looking on Ebay for all of the cd's that I loved when i was a teen. I began buying up NIN, White Zombie, Rage Against The Machine, Filter, ALice in Chains, and Beastie Boys cd's. On ebay I found the majority of these cd's used and for an awesome price. Most of the cd's i buy are used and rarely exceed 4 dollars including shipping. Overall I am very happy with this cd. One of my all time favorites. This is one of REznor's best cd and, to me, is the cd that best describes the artist's music as a whole. When people here any of these songs, the name NIN automatically comes to mind. I have always liked this album. From the first time I had heard it till now it's still one of my favorits. To me it's timeless, and reminds me of a certain time of my youth.

This CD is in immaculate condition. Fantastic version of a classic techno guru's first time out of the gate. Love it.
