Honest Portrayal of Runaway Boy

Foreign movies like this seem to be more honest and forthright than American-made films. Unfettered by all the special interest groups film-makers in the U.S. must please, both the language and content can be more brutally authentic. This is one such film, portraying the pressures to survive that a runaway boy is confronted with: needing a place to stay, the temptation to sell himself, the aligning himself with other desperate youth. The result is a confused boy who finds himself somewhat lost...with an unusual twist at the conclusion. If you like coming of age movies, you may like this one, but don't expect the feel good sensation of You Are Not Alone or Billy Ellliot.
