This is a darn good movie and it's worth adding to your DVD collection!
The storyline is intriguing but there's a bit more truth to the film's content than one realizes at first.
The character named Tesla is based on a real person. His name is Nikola Tesla and this guy is an INCREDIBLE story all by himself!
The movie's theme of magic and illusion is invented but Tesla's actual invention in The Prestige is recorded in history! Tesla did, indeed, invent a machine that is still not quite understood? He blew up 2000 + acres in Siberia experimenting with his own brand of technology and still today, scientists are trying to figure out how Tesla came to know what he knew?
Google Nikola Tesla ... it'll blow you're mind.
