Best of the J-Horror Genre

Ok, so I watched over 50 Asian Horror movies in the last 9 months. This one is one of only 3 that I kept in my DVD collection having sold the rest. (The other 2 being Audition by Miake and Infection). What makes this movie great? Hitchcock atmosphere, combined with an intricacy of a David Lynch script, makes the viewer engaged throughout. But what really makes this movie standout, is that it will leave you talking for hours afterwards, trying to figure out exactly what happened and who was who in the movie. The twists and turns are many and has the feeling of Memento. As with all J-Horror genre movies, the pacing is a little slow for American audiences, but it gives just enough time for you to figure out the story. Oh and there is a Moral in the end, kind of like w/the Matrix movies where one is left wondering about the questions and complexities of life. (BTW skip the Sandra Bullock remake of 2 years later--that one is an uncomprehensible mess)
