Precalculus by James Stewart, Lothar Redlin, Saleem Watson (2005, Hardcover)

THIS VENUE IS FOR PRODUCT REVIEWS, NOT SELLER REVIEWS! This is a comprehensive math text that covers many topics to prepare one for calculus. I was happy that I invested in the Solutions Manual as my teacher did not speak fluent English, and along with the CD, I was able to pull an A in the class with little aid from her instruction. Total package new was over $200.00 but well worth the extra money for the Solutions Manual.

If YOU READ ALL THE REVIEWS HERE, THEY LOOK IF THEY WERE WRITTEN BY UNEDUCATED 5 YEAR OLD KIDS. ABOUTY THIS BOOK: I originally borrowed it when I was taking this class. I liked it so much, that I decided to buy it for me to keep, and possibly use it as a reference for the next calculus class. The problems are very well self-explained and somewhat easy to understand. If you could actually score a deal (like the one I had listed here) to buy it for less than a $100.00, do it, because Im pretty sure this book will be useful for at least, the next 5 years.

Took an accounting class with this text and it helped out immensely. I had a teacher's edition with all of the solutions built in. It helped a lot. Even though i don't like accounting, this book combined with my professor made polar coordinates and derivatives fun.

The book explains pretty well algebra and trigonometry, it also includes an introduction to calculus (all what you need to understand calculus). The Soluttion manual will come very handy.

All examples are colorful and detailed. just what every math book should have.

It's a great book. The only problem that I have is the writer's redaction. Since it redaction is more for scholars than an "idiots all precalculus". So if you don't go to the math class, you won't understand the chapters.

The CD will also help you understand the chapters too, because there is a guy explaining the stuff at a blackboard.

Overall 4.6/5 will be my review.

It is very good for learning. illustrations are nicely done with color. layout is simple enough. examples could have been more extensive.

I would not recommend this seller for i didn't recieve my book. I had to rebuy it at the school book store and charge my credit card again and pay interest for TWO months on it. I'm just now recieving my refund. What a pain in the ASS!

I purchased the book under the impression that it was in good shape. When i got the book it had the code as promised but for the last 200 or so pages it was covered in brown gook! Like someone spilled chocolate ice cream all down the inside and side of the book! i was very disappointed because all the pages in the back were torn or had brown gook on it stuck together! I will never purchase anything else from this buyer again.

Precalculus 5th editition is a very useful book. It can dramatically imporve your math knowledge from Precalculus and reviw your previous learning from Algebra. This book is used for 115 and 116 math courses in college. I very like this book. It contains a lot of information and great problem practices. Also has a lot of great examples which help you learn and understand the subject better. This is a great math book.

came right on time, and was in servicable condition, thanks! Has a bit of writing in it, I was not expecting that, but it's in pencil so I can erase it.

I bought a math book for one of my college classes about one month ago. The book was exactly what I needed, and it was just as it was described. The book took a little more time to come than i had expected, but it came soon enough. I didn't end up needing the book though, i had dropped the class soon after it came, but hopefully it will come in handy later.

THis book is good for class and the included CD really helps. I get stuck with understanding a concept and the CD-ROM helps reinforce those concepts and explain them more thoroughly. I recommend getting the answer manual as well. It's no use having the textbook and doing the included problems and having no clue if you're on the right track or not!

Seeing as I never saw the book or couldn't get the buyer to communicate with me this was a very horrible experience. I will not be using ebay in the future because of it.
