Prayers for Sale

I saw the title Prayers for Sale in a book review in a local paper. It is an unusual title but a delightful book. I hated for the book to end. The handful of characters come so alive, I can almost hear the accent in their voices. The bitter cold weather and their hardship in the depression can be felt in the pages. The friendship of the ladies and their quilting help them to overcome all tragedies. After reading the book, I understand the title. I also have prayers for sale.

) Yet again, Sandra Dallas has written a great story of the loyalty, friendship, and hardships of women. How does she pull it off, writing about the same subjects in every book but still making each one unique and heartfelt; without relying on extreme drama or sex to pull the reader in? Prayers jumps back and forth between two time eras, telling amazing stories of women facing the hardships of high-mountain Colorado and giving inspiration to the reader.
Sandra Dallas has become my favorite author, giving me entertainment, inspiration, and respect for history in each of her books. The only thing I didn't love about Prayers for Sale is the fact that now I have to wait for S.D's next book to come out!
