I would not recommend this study guide. At first glance it seemed to be a good resource, but as I used it I realized that it was weak. It is really just a hodgepodge of fact and statements regarding the subject matter. It does not flow, and does not explain the significance or impact of historic events. The practice tests are useful, but the explainations of the answers are short and do not build understanding of the material. On top of that, it it is poorly written and has grammatical errors. I would look elsewhere for a study guide when taking the Praxis II Social Studies test.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! The makers of Cliffs and Shana Pate, "PdD" should be ashamed of themselves. This is the poorest excuse for a study guide I've ever seen. Typos, misleading questions, wrong answers.... This study guide focues almost exclusively on American history, and relegates South America and Africa to one sentence each. Economics is barely covered. I took the Social Studies Praxis II test this weekend, and trust me, nothing is this book was on the test.
