I bought this book for a friend's daughter and she loved it! Her mother and I took some time to browse through it first and you will find it reminiscent of Maryjane Butters’ wonderful Idea Book. Ms. Worick's nostalgic guide is for would be pioneer girls who long for the simpler times. It is filled with old time craft projects and tongue-in-cheek instructions, plus how to predict the weather. This book will show you how to sew a quilt, make bread-and-butter pickles, tend a vegetable garden and so much more. It will take you back to days gone by.

Oh, what a great book. I have always wanted to know more about the pioneers and how they did things and survived without all of our modern conveniences. It was an easy read and so much more. Loved it

I really enjoyed this book as she brings about so many wonderful things about being a prairie girl and back in the "Little House" Days. Broken down into readable sections and doable today!

I grew up wanting to be Laura Ingles Wilder, just like the author, and this book is just what I was looking for. An adult version that answers lots of the questions that I often wondered about pioneer life. A must have for any age!
