The only reason why it is called "advanced" is because the guy is using heavier kettlebells. The exercises are all very effective, however, the instructor is not skilled as a video instructor; he feels he doesn't have to say anything else while demonstrating the exercises. Yes, the DVD offers a segment where everything is explained, however, the purpose of an instructional DVD is to continue to give direction while instructing. I don't necessarily want to be entertained when I do an exercise DVD, however, I do want some explanation during the workout. The producer should have used a skilled instructor to lead the exercises.

This is a brutal way to get in shape. I thought I was going to die. Next time I try it, I am going to drop down to a smaller size kettlebell. I feel like jello at this moment, lol. WOW!

  More Kettlebell!
Review created: 10/26/09(updated 11/06/09)

This DVD though pretty basic in parts has more than a few training gems in it that I now incorporate into my workouts. I will let you know any size bell will work but, Phil uses two 35s and a 50 pound kettlebell in this. The stretches with the bo staff and the warm ups are the good parts for me.One of the kettlebell philosophies of low-tech / high concept are very well displayed here. Basic yes,Effective? Hell yes!!worth the price for the info in my case.3 out of 5 * Be Relentless!

Great instructional video. Clear speech and easily understood. If you can do this work out you are a bad-ass!

Overall this was a good workout. i was sweating after the first rep. i was a little disappointed though when i found out that in order to do many of the workouts you need two kettlebells. i solved this problem by using two dumbbells i already owned but, it's just not the same you know? make sure that you pay attention to the "advanced" part of the title because if i hadn't have had prior exp. with this i could have easily hurt myself trying to keep up with the DVD. You have been warned...hehehe. But really this wasn't too bad. 2nd week using it every morning and i have dropped 4 lbs. not bad...
