Power Stone (Dreamcast, 1999)

Power Stone is simply am incredible game. It is not available for concoles like Playstation or Xbox, but is available for the "older" dreamcast. It is hard to describe every nuance, shade, detail of the game... but i chose some pros and cons to give you some insight.

Pros:
-Dated, but BEAUTIFUL fighting enviornments
-Characters have incredible moving ability and respind well
-Characters interact with weapons, objects etc. in the enviorment during battle
-Addictive gameplay, especillay for two players
-Easy to learn, fast-paced gameplay
-11 unique, multilevel, interactive fighting environments
-It's a Capcom Fighter

Cons:
-May be too frantic for some players (run & dodge)
-Not your detailed combos fighter like Tekken, Soul Calibur
-Weapons, once understood, often become annoying in battle because of their simplicity and ability to turn the fight very quickly

All in all i would rate this fighter 4/5, primarily becaus eof it's unique aspects. While some might grade it lower, it truly is fun and creative. This game doesn't require hours of gameplay to master combos, but provides a fast paced fighting enviornemnt. If you want the ploished version, try out Power Stone 2, if you can find it at a reasonable price.

This game is very engaging system of play for all comers. With amazing graphics and 2 player action it is very entertaining but only once around. Once all the characters have been displayed it will gather dust on the shelf. I would only recommend it for hardcore powerstone fans and fans of the Japanese Animation.

this has to be one of the best fighting game to the dreamcast, it is fun and if you like super smash bros then you will like this but the sequal might be better though because it has up to 4 players while this one could only have 2

Great game if you love fighters. Worth about 30 dollars, but not much more than that. Easily good enough if you fork over 20. It's a 3-D fighting game that utilizes skill instead of being just another boring-beat-em-up. Worth a try!

Great game, This was one of the games I could spend hours and hours on. I cant believe that a simple concept could be this much fun Capcom came through again. I would say this should be in your game collection and also look out for part 2 its fun as well.

An absolute classic. For all gamers, this is a must have for all classic fighting gamers. The graphics are excellent and it is just and all around fun game

Power Stone is a great game,with a unique fighting system that will provide hours and hours of fun gameplay.
The controls are very fluid,and the ability to have four people playing at once is another plus.

Their's only a few minor complaints I can make against Power Stone.The first being it's too short on single player campaign.And the second being their's not enough playable characters.

In the end,I recommend anyone adding Power Stone to their Dreamcast collection.

This is a very fun game. Although after you get all characters and weapons you will get bored with it. The graphics are very good . The reason I bought this game was because the characters speak Japanese when they are fighting. I really would like to learn this foreign language. Plus, games that allow you to use power-ups are also fun and enjoyable!!!!!!!!!

Power Stone has definitely stood the test of time. From its quirky intro screen and absurd announcer voices onward, this game will bring a big smile to the faces of you and the friend you are pummeling. The game's extremely customizable game play setting should balance out any moves or items that become overly dominant. The power stone collecting element of the combat turns makes for often one-sided victories, but equally often intense scrambles that end dead-close. The game also features clever interactive levels, tons of items and weapons, and plenty of unlockables. The final boss is huge, grotesque, and reasonably difficult. Give this a go!

Very Good Game Great graphics fast gameplay good controls very fun may get a little boring after a while but it is definately enjoyable until u get bored it part 2 is a solid sequel and much better

This game changes fighting games into pure awesomeness. Possibly one of the best multiplayer games. The game had the best controls and character options. You can pick up scenary and kick/throw it at your opponent. The only problem I had with this game is that one character is incredibly cheap and can kill basically anyone in one hit if all 3 powerstones are collected.
