Power of a Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian (2005, Paperback)

I (Julia the wife) gave this to my girlfriend, she tells me, it's a great book to pray over her children with by using God's word and Bible verse.

This is a life-changing book and I highly recommend it to all parents and grandparents. The power of prayer is like nothing else you can experience. This is a great book to give for any baby shower. I can't say enough about this book.

I like this book because of its layout and the writer explain's many points on growth in different catergories. There is something for every woman in this book. I chose it because of the writer Stormie Omartin. I already had her book The Power of a Praying Wife and it changed my life and my Husband's from what I learned in reading that book so I knew I would enjoy this book also.

I am so grateful for this book. Stormie has wonderful insight into the difficulties we face as Christian parents raising our kids in a secular world. Children face a myriad of pressure and stress so let's hold them up with prayer. The prayers are a fantastic jumping-off point for me and the correlating verses are powerful to claim for your children. Of all the books I own related to raising my children, this is by-far my favorite.

I bought this book because I really liked 2 of the author's previous books, "Power of a Praying Wife" and "Power of a Praying Woman". Stormie O'Martian get's so real with situations that everyday parents face with their children (young and old) and she gives scripture after scripture to pray and stand on through every situation that may come up. It is truly annointed just like her other books and I just found so much comfort in the fact that every parent faces the same battles, road blocks and fears concerning their children. It's a book that I come back to over and over again.

Excellent, empowering book. I've created my own prayer, which I have memorized, taken from her book and prayers, and hold it dear to my heart. Any parent, at any stage of their children's lives, can benefit from this book.

I bought this for a friend. I already have a copy and LOVE it!! I couldn't have made it as far into parenthood as I have without this book (and GOD)!! I have also bought Power of a Praying Husband, Power of a Praying Wife, Power of a Praying Teen, Power of a Praying Kid, and Power of Praying as you Graduate!! All of these are GREAT books and make GREAT gifts - baby shower, wedding shower, graduation, birthdays, anniversary.... any occasion!!
