I checked this book out from my local library and after writing pages of notes, I decided I just needed to buy it becase it is a book I'll refer back to with every child. I've already learned so much. I like the fact that the book focuses on building the child's self-esteem and helping them become responsible people, without the guilt or shame of other types of discipline. I intend to read more books by these authors.

Positive Discipline: The First Three YearsThis book is a must for any new parent, or parent of young children looking for a better way to interact with their children. I wish I'd had this from the birth of my first son. I generally make it a point to buy it for all my friends expecting their first baby. They've all been very appreciative.
