When I ws younger, I always watched cartoons of "Popeye" on television. I had never missed a single cartoon of it. I saw the Popeye cartoons on black snd white and in color. When Olive Oyl was always in trouble by Bluto, Popeyes's nemesis, Popeye reach for his spinach and beats up Bluto. He was always strong to the "finich" when he ate his "spinach", "Popeye" will always be remembered as "Popeye the Sailor Man".

Anyone who grew up watching these cartoons will love this DVD. The animation, antics and adversarial stuff with Bluto and Popeye are just as you remember. These will take you back to a time when things were very simple and straightforward. Boy has girl, other boy tries to get her away, boy and boy fight, Popeye wins after fortifying himself with spinach - well, you get the picture. Pure entertainment for all ages from a time when cartoons were visually pleasing, not always worrying about being politically correct. You can't go wrong here.
