Movie Description The story of daily life in a trailer park community in southern Illinois, POOR WHITE TRASH is told from the perspective of two teenage boys, Mike (Tony Denman) and Lenny (Jacob Tierney). Mike dreams of getting a college degree, moving out of the trailer park, and leading a better life as a family therapist. His mother, Linda (Sean Young), who made some bad decisions when she was young and thus forfeited a nursing career for an unappealing nursing home job, is the embodiment of Mike's fears about the future. Mike's pal Lenny doesn't share his vision and ambition; he hangs around the trailer park and stirs up trouble. Lenny pulls Mike into a ridiculous scheme that involves burglarizing trailers in their park, starting the boys down an absurd and wildly troublesome path.
