Benjamin Franklin has always been one of my favorite figures in American history, and his wisdom and humor remain fresh in his book "Poor Richard's Almanack."
This book is a collection of little idioms and quotes directly from Ben Franklin, written by his own hand. I love this book, but I must admit that because it was written over a hundred years ago, many of the idioms went way over my head because of the way they're worded.
Still, this doesn't detract from the charm of the book, and for history buffs this book is gold.
