I got this camera b/c I wanted something small, cool, looking, and relatively inexpensive. This delivers it all. It really melds well with todays smaller = better lifestyle and looks just plain cool. As for picture quality, when you're in good lighting it takes outstanding pictures, and the video quality is very good too. The two biggest problems I guess are that if you want to take picture in a dark environment, you need to almost guess what you're pointing at because the camera doesn't capture ambient light very well. The second, which in some cases is a plus, is that the camera has a very strong flash. Good for medium range shots, but for self shots at arm length in your room for instance, sometimes the flash whites everything out. I remedied this easily by just covering up half the flash with one of my fingers, and it worked great.

Overall, a great buy for a first camera. Easily transfer pictures to a computer with the included USB cable, no batteries needed because it comes with the charging dock, and it even has internal memory for those emergency pictures when your SD card is full. If you're looking for a real performance camera though, to use for more than recreational photos, shell out some more cash and look for something else.

Cheers

I purchased this camera for my 8 year old. Great camera for the money! Perfect compact size and weight. Has lcd screen - important to kids to see picture right away! It takes mini movies. The recharging docking station easy to use even for little hands. I did find the buttons hard to use when the protective case is on - we just pull it off if necessary. I found it easy to operate and my daughter had it down in no time. Very good value.

Young, Fun, and Easy to Operate

The design of the izone300 appeals to a younger crowd with its white exterior and bright blue trim, width of about 1 inch, and the easiest point and shoot capabilities of any digital camera I've used, thus far. Featuring 3.2 mega pixels, 3X digital zoom and a 1.5" LCD color display, it is well worth more than the already low price tag!

Perfect for a night on the town or a college dorm party, this camera is totally portable, has excellent battery length, and delivers crisp and bright pictures. The docking station and included software is almost too simple to use. Especially nice for the middle/high school crowd and senior citizens who don't like all the rigamarole of some of the higher-tech digital cameras.

The only drawback I've experienced is the "glowing" effect. The flash has 2 modes: automatic and on. Should the picture-taker be too close to the subject while using the flash, the resulting image will either have a "glow" around it or to it, or will make the subject matter appear unusually bright. I've tried tweaking the zoom length and distance from my subject and found that the farther away you stand is better, and to use the zoom to focus in. The flash is also slow to recharge after each picture. It is not possible to continuously snap away with this camera in flash mode.

If you are a fly by night photographer like me, and you want to purchase a low-tech digital camera that offers most of the capabilities of its bigger brothers but with less fuss, more style, and 1/4 of the price, this camera is for you. Kudos to Polaroid!

Camera takes very nice pictures. LCD screen cracked after 1 use. Store replaced it. New packaging stinks. Liked the box much better, instead of the blister pack.

ok basically this is a cell phone camera on steroids. it takes a little bit to get used to but then again so do most electronics. the quality of the pictures is very good. its just that you have to be reletively still to take a good picture. the flash is very strong and is only effective at about 4-6 feet away. any closer and your pic will be white, any further and it will have a dark reddish tint. i reccomend buying a memory card fo this product unless your fine with taking only 800 pictures, uhh divided by 100 that is at a time before the memory gets full. the video mode is not very good unfortunately. no sound. and kind of choppy.
the pictures that this thing produces are of an exeptional quality. when switched to the highest setting the pictures are good enough to use as your desktop background, which i have done. also the battery life is surprisingly long for a camera.
all in all this is a kind of camera to take pictures of random things.but, if your looking for a camera to take more precious photos, save up for a more upgraded camera that has more memory, more settings, and higher quality.
FYI ive learned that megapixels dont really matter, anything 3 up will do fine, just in case you were curious

Don't waste your money on this camera.

While it is not the worst digital camera I have ever owned it comes in a close second place. It takes horrible pictures inside and out. They either come out to dark or way to bright. The white balance is non-existent. It is not capable of zooming in and taking a close up. If you want to capture detail it will not happen with this camera. Do not waste your money. it is compact, cute and will fit in your pocket. That is all it has going for it. Don't expect to be able to take a picture with it.

The Polaroid is a very simple camera to use. So simple, that it can't even be adjusted to your picture taking needs. The flash is unbelievably bright, so bright the pictures turn out terrible. This is more of a childs play camera. Overall, this is a very poor camera, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I lost my camera last year and decided I needed a new one. So, I set out on a mission to find the perfect camera. I wanted something with video and still modes, yet still small, affordable, and cool. This one fit all the requirements so, naturally, I looked for it on eBay. I got this camera for under sixty bucks and it is amazing!

One of the worst cameras I have ever tested! Dont even try to take a picture indoors because you wont see anything in the screen unless you have a 400wt bulb handy! Dont try to save money by buying a cheap camera because thats just what you'll get A CHEAP CAMERA!

I purchased this camera a year ago minus three weeks. it was easy to use took good qaulity pictures, but battery did not stay charged long.over the year that problem became worse and worse.now as the holidays approach it will take 1 picture before needs to be recharged for one picture again. after numerous cals to polaroid i was informed. the internal battery can not be replaced. in other words i said so i might has wel throw it away. it was a disposable camera that cost $79.00. and was told yes. if you are looking for a short term camera its a good deal. if looking for a long term for the price keep looking

I wanted the camera because I thought it was really 3.2 magapixels. You can not really tell the colers or clarity of the picture that you take. The quality is real poor.

i bought this camera for its good pixels and zoom only to find out that the images are horrible and it only has digital zoom which is close to worse than having no zoom. the flash is SO bright it whites everything out and you cant turn it off. the battery wouldn't last a whole day & the damn thing beeps so loud.

do not buy this camera unless it is for a small child. its plastic and cheap.

Do not expect better quality than what you get with a camera cellphone, Detail is really bad. Also bad with colors and lights. The shape, size and price are great, but the quality is awful, better save more money and get a better Camera.

I was drawn in by the compact size and simple design. Unfortunately, the image quality is horrible. I am very surprised that Polaroid agreed to put their name on this product.

The newer Polaroid iZone 300's are great, but the one I bought on eBay was (unbeknownst to me) an older generation. You could turn the annoying beeping sound off, but it would be turned backon the next time you turn the camera on. Menu interface sucks. Can't turn the flash off!
