Synopsis A white teddy bear named Polar describes the many sights he has seen while traveling with his owner, a young boy named Douglas. Polar's story concludes with an eyewitness account of the sinking of the "Titanic", aboard which he and the Spedden family were sailing. This story was written by the American heiress Daisy Corning Stone Spedden for her son a year after they escaped from the "Titanic" disaster. Photographs of the Spedden family and watercolor illustrations accompany the text.
