Polar Shift by Clive Cussler, Paul Kemprecos (2005, Unabridged, Compact Disc)

Very good character development. The reading and vocal inflections are very easy to listen to. I enjoyed it very much.

If you love or like Cussler's style of writing, you will love or like this one. If you don't really like his style you won't find anything different in this one. I'm neither hot or cold when it comes to his style, I just like to be entertained and this one did it for me. The ending was rather anti-climatic, big build up that seemed to fizzle.

I wish I had had the same experience listening to this book as the other reviewers. I found the narrator and writing style very dull--I even fell asleep in parts. To be fair, it was not the narrator's fault. The book's writing style is like a Dick and Jane reading primer from grade school. Many sentences start with someone's name; a writing style I found mechanical and dull. Some would say that using the character names so frequently helps clarify an audio book, but it just distracted me from the plot wondering which character name would start the next sentence. Twelve CD discs became a huge undertaking to complete after I realized I didn't like the writing style. Any books authored by Clive Cussler will be crossed off my reading list.

Clive Cussler has always been a favorite Author of mine, I have read most of his books and have thoughly enjoyed them.
I am not going to say anything about the book, Because If you are like me then you wont want to know the plots untill you reach them in the book.
I loved this book and highly recomend it.
