Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition (Game Boy, Game Boy Color)

The game is a good old one. This is a special version, because you get a Pikachu as your starter pokemon! It is also a good way to retrieve all of the starter pokemon. In this game you are able to get Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu! If you want to have all 3 starters on another version, this is an easy way to get them. You must progress a little bit in the game, though. If you like collecting pokemon stuff, this is a MUST HAVE.

I bought this on ebay because you can't find this game in the store anymore. My kids were excited to get this game. They seem pretty happy with it.

This is my favorite of the Game Boy pokemon games thus far, and yes, I have played them all.

Heres what I love and what makes it all worthwhile - Pikachu follows you throughout the game! Instead of a traditional starter pokemon, your stuck with a pikachu that you need to keep happy. Its very unique to the pokemon game series, which means this is definitly one to play.

The only thing I disliked about the game was the lack of Raichu :(

Yellow version is definitly a fun one. There are hours of activity and loads of pokemon to catch. Definitly worth the time.

Like most pokemon games, Yellow version is different everytime you play it. I enjoied it very much and I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun, exciting game to play!

I bought the Pokemon Yellow Version gameboy game approximately three weeks ago. The reason I bought the game is because my son is very into his gameboy right now and even more into Pokemon. The third installment in the Pokemon series, this game is the follow-up to Pokemon Blue and Red. This game is great for younger kids that are hooked on the show. I was watching the show when I got my first Pokemon game. However, you probably shouldn't get someone this game if they haven't watched the show.

In this game, Pikachu follows you around everywhere, just like in the show. Your main goal in this game is to beat the gyms, then the pokemon league, and catch all of the 151 pokemon, not all of which are included in this game. To get all of the little guys, you will have to use a link cable to link with somebody else's Blue or Red Version. This adds a whole new level of play to this game, because you can also battle your friends (and enemies)to see whose Pokemon is superior. Even better, if you have Pokemon Stadium or Pokemon Stadium 2 and a download pack for the N64, you can battle through that game with all your hard-trained Pokemon and finally see them in glorious 3D.

This game is excellent and if you can get it, buy it. Gotta catch 'em all, right?

first get an abra that knows teleport
then go to nugget bridge and defeat all the trainers
then beat all the trainers till the slowpoke guy on the way to bill's house
then go back to nugget bridge
go west of the water west of the bridge 1 step
(SAVE)
then go down 1 step and pause quickly
have abra teleport back to the town.
go up and WALK 2 SPACES FROM THE slowpoke guy!
(you wont be able to talk to anyone or pause during that time)
then teleport back to the pokecenter and walk up nugget bridge.
the start menu will pop up
exit the start menu.
then mew appears!!!!!
(level 7)
(a common for this is a lvl 7 nidoqueen and chansey)

(There are also other pokemon you can get from this glitch)

If you like the original Pok`emon (Red/Blue) and the series then youl love this game. It plays just like Red and Blue, but like the show you start off with Pikachu and he follows you instead of riding in a ball. Also this is the only game that allows you to get all three starting pokemon without trading. And if you have Pok`emon Snap & Stadium, you can get a surfing Pikachu, wich you can cross to your Yellow, and again cross to Stadium. All in all it's a great RPG with the same numbers and strategy thinkin most RPG's require.

I really like this game. The graphics in it are an improvement over those of Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue. Also the storyline is much closer to that of the television show. It is a challenge to beginners and just fun for experienced gamers.

This game was to be like the show, where you get Pikachu as your starting Pokemon! It is much different because he follows your character around and performs other useful abilities! *Pika! Pika!*

The game starts out great, them the screen goes nuts. The color then turns black and white. My 10 yr old saved up money for this yellow version that needs to be renamed LEMON.

Shipped on time, excellent condition. Will purchase another title soon from this seller. Son wanted it and we could not find it in any local stores. So we looked on ebay and found what we wanted.

I really love this game. I love the fact that Pikachu follows you around and its one of my favorite Pokemon games. If you are a fan of Pokemon you will love this game. Its a little outdated, but it is still fun to play.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't play!This was my first purchase on e bay,I'm a little sceptical of purchasing again. So, I would have to say that my purchase was unsatisfactory.I did like the fact that the estimated time of delivery was met. My daughter wanted this game for Christmas. I couldn't find it at any store. Found it on Ebay for a great price and bought it. I was very pleased with the way Ebay does its business and plan to purchase more items when needed.

I purchased this game boy product for my grandson. He is a big fan of Pokemon and I felt the cost was reasonable and affordable for my budget. It is always nice to give your grandchildren gifts for no reason.

Pokemon Yellow for the GBC is a classic title. Slightly improved graphics make gameplay better. The ability to collect all of the starter pokemon in one game is a cool feature. My only complaint is that there are not any pokemon that are exclusive to this version.
