Pokemon Sapphire Version (Game Boy Advance, 2003)

My Son is an avid Pokemon fan. He has enjoyed this game from the moment he received it.It has everything he wanted in it.He enjoys all the different varieties of the Pokemon available to battle with.He has all of the other versions and this seems to be his favorite. Ryan got money for Christmas that we didn't use so we purchased it as an after Christmas gift. We highly recommend this game for a Pokemon fans.

First I would not recommend buying anyplace but a registered eBay store This specifically includes Auctions. Since the first time I purchased it, it was a Pirated version. However the stores registered on eBay are Reliable.

I bought the game in order to play it.

Since I have played previous versions

I normally Buy them at local game stores but sadly The game is discontinued in the US.

As for Pokemon Games as a whole. I do not personally recommend them except for the arduant fan since they are elitist. With some pokemon going only to those who are lucky enough to

1) Live in a major city.
2) Have time to waste in Extremely long lines when these rare pokemon are made available. (Mew & Deoxys for example)

I would however recommend any other type of nintendo games just not any from this (pokemon) franchise.

Despite what Nintendo will tell you, the objective of the game " Gotta Catch um all" is extremely unreachable. And while it is not necessary to fill all these extra pokemon in your pokedex. The game IS geared toward having these pokemon for completion of it.

Unlike the megaman franchise where you can complete the game without the special chips you can get at these conventions.


(Your pokedex will be absent at least 2 entries (Lugia and Ho-oh 2 more of these pokemon can be caught in colloseum 1 or 2 and transferred to the games after completion. They did make a disk with Jirachi available and you can usually find a copy (if you are patient in your local gaming store)


So if you can handle playing a game without completion then buy it.

But I would not reccomend it for anyone under 12 or anyone who needs to "catch um all"

Should they ever get past the unfair sales practice. I would highly recoomend these games as fun and entertaining and even somewhat educational.

Its amazing how far pokemon has gone!! This is a great and fun game, prolly the best of the newer ones. it is very addictive 2 lol. A great game for a Pokemon fan. Be a real treat for someone to find this on ebay for under $15.00

I love video games and I play them when I can. Pokemone is just another game that I love to play. I have had Pokemon Ruby for quite some time and wanted to be able to complete my pokedex so I got Sapphire. I love the game and it has worked great.

My son wanted one for christmas and was having a hard time finding one. Found some on e-bay but kept getting out bid. Finally landed one and was very pleased with it, he loved it! Thank you!

This game is great and has a lot of replay value! It still has most of the original Pokemon and many many new ones!

First, i want to say that if you have a game boy, and you dont have this game, you are really missing out. This game is never-ending. The more you play, the better the game is and the more it is worth. You catch more pokemon all you want and evolve more. That is one thing that makes it good.

Another thing that makes this game good, is the fact that you can trade pokemon with a friend, even if they have ruby, not sapphire. You can blend berrys with friends and do 2-on-2 battles. You can even battle your friends.

Another thing that makes this game good, is that you dont have to remember all those stupid passwords to save your game. You just press save, and turn the gameboy off, and you can turn it right back on and be right back where you saved. It's so great!

I also like how you can get rare pokemon at high levels. You can also get "SHINY" pokemon. The shiny pokemon are a different color than the regular pokemon like it. They are really rare. You can also collect berries.

If you dont have this game, you must get it. It will make the game boy experience so much better. See for yourself.

My son really liked the game he was really excited that the previous owner didn't erase the pokemon they collected so that he could add them to his collection. I bought the game for my son cause he's collecting the pokemon games and the price on this was extraordinary.

I received this game as a gift. It stopped working after you got 6 Pokemon. I recommend you be careful about buying these games because they can be broken without you knowing it. It may work in the beginning but then it stops working and you are stuck with a broken game.
I recommend you keep everything that came with the game including all the packing material, just in case you need to send it back to the seller for a refund.

The fact that this game does improve what Gold, Silver, and Crystal didn't do so well on. In the previous ones, in order to get certain pokemon, you have to hunt them at certain times of day, this became a big hassle for some. In this game, you have a better chance at finding the kind of pokemon you want, and not having to wait for a certain time of day. The only downside I saw to this was that all the original pokemon wouldn't be captured in this version, and that you'd have to have FireRed and LeafGreen to get them. Other than that, a well deserved game, and a must for those that just want to catch 'em all!

This is a very fun game in which provides many hours of entertainment. Battle as a miniature 'you' who you can name your name or any of your favorite names! After that, you are able to battle and catch new Pokemon! Once you establish an elite force of Pokemon, you are then able to go on and battle trainers and other Pokemon League Members which hold badges you need to continue into the Pokemon League and become the best Pokemon Trainer ever!
Throughout your voyage, you are able to play many other games and challenges that add a little extra to the game.
Altogether, I would highly recommend this game for anyone who has a Gameboy; another plus for purchasing this game is: these games never lose their value; they are always in demand! You can resell it fast if you decide you don't like the game for any reason!

If you like the repetitive adventures of the pokemon series, you'll like this installment. It's more of the same from Red and Blue & Gold and Silver. But hey, the formula works, it's great fun, and you know you enjoy it.

i am no't crazy about it. it doesn't even work! it's broken completey.i don't like it. it doesn't save. it's horrible.

The GBA game turned out to be a copy with defects in it's operation. I would suggest that anyone interested in buying video games make sure that they are not "knock off" versions, but the original Nintendo games.
