Diamond and Pearl bring us tons of new gameplay features. Remember the Pokenav? Ugh, that is SO 2002! The Poketch is SO in! Poketch, short for Pokemon Watch, resembles a wrist watch but has tons of nifty features, including a calculator, a pedometer (so you can now see how much longer until one of your eggs hatches) and even a clock! The watch is navigated with the touch screen, as is an updated Pokedex. Now, you can move the list by spinning a Pokeball counter-clockwise. Also, you can dress Pokemon up for contests with the touch screen. Also, a few new Pokeballs have been introduced: the Darkball and the Healball. A Healball restores HP and status problems when it is thrown, but only works if you have a spare slot in your party, while the Darkball works better in dark places like caves. Also, 107 new Pokemon have been invented, from the beaver-like Bidoof to the slug-esque Shellos. When the National Pokedex is acquired, you can even transfer over Pokemon from your GameBoy Advance! Only one problem; the transfer is permanent. Finally, this game can link with Pokemon Ranger to download a Manaphy egg.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics look somewhat 2.5-D (similar to Pokemon Ranger), so that's a plus. Also, the night feature returns! From now on, if it is 8:00 PM in your game, it will be nighttime in it as well!

Sound/Music: 5/10
Most of the sound is the same as always, but the battle theme is pretty good.

Replay Value: 10/10
Now that there are 493 Pokemon, you'll always be playing to catch 'em all! There is Pal Park to check out, a Safari Game to play, events to download, it'll be years before you fully complete Pokemon Diamond and Pearl (unless you are a hacker)!

Overall, this is a stunning game that really seems to combine all the features the Pokemon world has previously used as well as new ones. It is a definite must for any Pokemon fan! So go out and buy the game (well, some people still have to wait, but when it does come out, it's a definite buy)!

YOu must must must get this for your collection if you love pokemon, With a whole new adventure and different pokemons to catch. Although is a little bit more pricy around 35 from other ds games, it is definately worth it. A whole new rpg for your system that keep you busy for hours. I recommend this to everyone. =)

Pokemon Pearl has to be one of the best games out for the Nintendo DS. The 3D graphics are amazing, the story line rocks and the new pokemon are very fun to use. Plus it's very easy to understand for basically any age, so you can get it for children, too. I recommend Pokemon Pearl to anyone that has enjoyed the other pokemon games or show, regardless of age.

This game like all the other pokemon games is a must have for anyone with a Nintendo DS. With more than one hundred new pokemon and wi-fi tradinga and battling this game is one of the best. If you have played the other pokemon games than you have to get this one. The storyline isn't too great but all the stuff that you can do is endless. The touch screen makes searching through items and your attacks while battling much easier. So what are you waiting for? Buy this game.

I bought the Pokemon Pearl game about a month ago and was immediately joyfull with the number of different pokemon on this game. It has a 150 pokemon plus you may trade pokemon with other pokemon games. Pokemon Pearl or Diamond is perfect for any kid. Overall, I'd recommend this game if you're on a budget.It is my kids favorite type of game. Follow some of my kids comments:

-"You've got to be careful with Palkia because he is one of the most powerfull pokemon, along with the Pokemon Dialga they have the power to destroy or recreate the whole planet."

Diamond and Pearl deliver a fresh online Wi-Fi experience that will make even the most burnt-out fans want to "catch 'em all" again. Every time a Pokémon game went to a new hand held, the graphics have always gotten better. The graphics of Diamond and Pearl make other Pokémon games look flat(YOU CAN SEE SIDES OF A BUILDINGS NOW)! Explore the new Sinnoh region for 151 new Pokémon to fill the Sinnoh Pokedex. Battles play out similar to all of the other Pokémon games, but now people can test their skills against other players by using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. Diamond and Pearl manages to deliver a well-polished Pokémon adventure.

Amazing game, could do with being a little harder in the future, but this DS version is up there with the best of them.

This installment adds over 100 new monsters to catch. The colorful graphics strike a nice balance of upgraded and traditional, using old-fashioned sprites on subtly 3D backgrounds. The sound and music still aren't anything special, but are decent enough. I was glad to see the real-time day/night feature return, it keeps things interesting with the little changes it brings.

The Wi-fi features are a great addition, making it more of community-themed game. You can now trade and battle Pokemon with people from all over the world via Wi-fi.

This latest installment in the series adds a lot of nice new features like the Poketch, a watch-like gadget with various little apps you receive throughout the game (such as a clock, a map that track berries, a pedometer, a daycare monitor, etc.) It makes good use of the touch screen, too, such as the Poffin mini-game, where you stir with the stylus to cook. The contests introduced in Ruby & Sapphire are expanded on, and there's an underground cave mini-game as well.

It's a fun, addictive game (even after you "beat" it, there's tons more stuff you can find and do) for RPG fans of all ages. Definitely recommended to any DS owner.

This product is really good. I have no glitches or malfunction in it. It works like new. The story is really great. there's a lot of puzzles and mind blowing problem you have to finish. But it's really fun. Thanks to the ones who created these games.

I bought this item because my boys are just wild about Pokemon. They've enjoyed playing this game since it arrived. They like to take turns battling against the other pokemon to try and capture them. It can communicate to the Diamond game with Wireless Communication. For a newly purchased DS system and a love of pokemon, Pearl Version was a must. It can also link with different versions of Pokemon using the Dual Slot function on the DS(Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen & Emerald-only). It has been a bonus in our collection of games!!

New completely interactive version of pokemon. The graphics i found arent so pixally, theres new hidden mini games, and an underground cave system which i thought was pretty cool i spend hours collecting spheres! :> In this version you also have the choice of being a male or a female, and theres alot of different pokemon i didnt see in any of the advance games. Also, the " bike " has a gear option, where you can choose from 4 speeds, as well as being able to use teleport, flash, and a few other special moves without having to get the certain gym badge. [you do still need them for the HM moves] All in all the game is great, it's fast playing, the picture quality is amazing, and theres ever more stuff to do. [like dressing up your pokemon for pictures with the new acessory bags, and not to meantion the new trainers watch with all the little features is great too!] Im 22 and enjoyed playing it.. but my husbands 6 year old loves the game as well.. great for all ages. 5/5

My son loves this. It was definitely an excellent birthday present. My only gripe is that he can't save his progress with the game at more points.

I like that the game was in excellant condition. It was a gift for my grandson, and I found it on ebay for less than i would pay in the store even with the shipping.

I bought this game for my 9 year old son. He loves it! He played it almost the entire day he received it. The game is easy to understand and play. The graphics are very nice. You can also add pokemon they have captured from game boy advance games to use in this game. It was well worth the money for me.
