Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back (DVD, 2000)

My son LOVES Pokemon. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot out there right now in the stores so I have to purchase most of his items on Ebay. He loves this movie (in fact, he is watching it right now!) I approve of his love for Pokemon because the show promotes teamwork and the importance of friendship. I would recommend this movie for any Pokemon fan!

The movie is an excellent extension from the TV series. All the original characters are there. It’s a nice roller coaster ride as MewTwo tries to figure out his purpose in life.
The movie has a moral plot and teaches that friendship, love and power can work together if done correctly and not abused.
MewTwo starts out as a tyrannical dictatorial bully, but then changes his attitude and his views on life as the movie progresses.
If you and your children like the Pokemon TV series, you will also like this movie.
My son saw the movie when it was at the show with his friends and I purchased this copy for his sister who has just now started liking Pokemon. My son loved the movie back then and my daughter loves the movie now. If you or your kids are Pokemon fans, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Okay in the begining, I thought this would be another kiddie cartoon, however the story and its execution where quite suprising. The story appeals to kids but has some young adult themes as well. Overall, I would reccomend this movie to all who love Pokemon.

This is a great movie for any Pokemon (Movie) lover, I had seen this movie when it first came out in the big screen(movie theater) and thought it was great and would think anyone else who even likes Pokemon would like this movie-There is a little Pokemon Short(movie) that is in the move that many would like-Pikachu meets new friends while taking a vacation-during that time, something happens that all the Pokemon friends will need to help in order to make what happened right again. So it's a great movie and one that all ages will enjoy.

What is the best thing about the Pokemon universe? Its a safe place for your child to play, or in this case, watch. Whether you buy it on DVD or Video, this film is a truly great intro into the world of Pokemon. Ok, so its not for most adults, who would be bored with the hundreds of variations of pocket monsters, the underlying themes of friendship and understanding are clearly good things for kids to learn about. This concept is really the heart of the Pokemon series, and Ashe and his friends, dare I say it, 'evolve' into better people as this film, and the tv series propels along. The movie sports really good animation, a great pop soundtrack, and whole lotta heart. My warning for this film : not for adults who are heartless or humorless, or for those kids who think they are too cool to watch Pokemon. If you like Pokemon, you must have this film, as it focuses on MewTwo, one of the coolest and most elusive Pokemon ever!

I haven't seen the 1st Pokemon movie since it first came out years ago, so after I got it I watched it right away.I have to say you were true on your word and it was in excellent condition. Sealed and not opened. Sure I had to wait another week because of mailing complications, but thats not your fault. Classic! Love this movie to bits. Ive grown up with pokemon my whole life and I remember going to see this movie in the cinemas and they were sold out! Its good to watch a movie again to remember the good ol times.

Out of all 8 pokemon movies this is by the most exciting and artistic, this make pokemon 2000 look like a 3 week old banana i give this movie a 5/5 and a excellent, if you want action and twists and turns till the very last second this is a great movie.

I love this movie because I am an avid pokemon collector and the adventure in it is just exciting! The movie makes you want to get up and fight evil and become the ultimate pokemon master. Also this movie and like all the other pokemon movies they have excellent morals. This movie is a must have no matter whata age as long as you like cartoons/anime.

The kids attended a Pokemon Summer camp and loved it. They saw one of the movies there and wanted to see more. This one was "great" according to them. I'd take Speed Racer anytime, but Pokemon is not for me! :)

This movie is very entertaining for chidren who are Pokemon fans. I really noticed that it is produced with wonderfully entertaining colors.

The first pokemon movie. It is great if you like anime. It follows the heroes chasing after the pokemon they love so much.
