Synopsis Martin Snodgrass, the hero in "Vinegar Pancakes and Vanishing Cream", is back. This time, Martin, his best friend, class clown Willie, and Marcia, a (gulp!) girl, all hang out together, hoping to hang out with the in crowd of fourth graders. But things start to go awry--the bouquet Martin gave his teacher had poison ivy in it, and she's now covered with an itchy rash, and maybe trimming Martin's bushy eyebrows wasn't such a great idea.
Nine-year-old Martin has a busy year in the fourth grade as he tries to find his own identity both at school and among his large and busy family.

Publisher's Note In this sequel to Vinegar Pancakes and Vanishing Cream, Martin Snodgrass is entering fourth grade. Now that he's one of the big boys, he's ready to move on to more grown-up stuff--like writing love poems to his pretty young teacher and trying out for the school play. Once again, Martin's adventures as the "normal" child in the over-achieving Snodgrass family are hilarious.
Industry Reviews "Pryor tunes right in to this audience and their thinking, making the future escapades of Martin eagerly awaited." Chelton
