The always challenging transition from adorable child performer to sexy adult star was achieved flamboyantly by actress Drew Barrymore with this erotic drama that unfolds like a paranoia-drenched Lolita (1962). Sylvie Cooper (Sara Gilbert) is a misanthropic student at a private high school for children of the privileged. While calling in a phony bomb threat to the TV station where her father, Darryl (Tom Skerritt) is a producer, Sylvia attracts the attention of Ivy (Drew Barrymore). Ivy is an orphan from a poor family, attending the school on a scholarship. She and Sylvia quickly become best friends, and Ivy eventually moves out of her aunt's home and into the Cooper household. Ivy covets the Coopers' lavish lifestyle and luxuries, so she begins plotting to kill Sylvie's ailing mother Georgie (Cheryl Ladd), then seduce the alcoholic Darryl and frame Sylvie for the crime, thus taking over the Cooper house. Director Katt Shea Ruben and her co-writer husband Andy Ruben were veterans of the Roger Corman school of filmmaking. Poison Ivy II: Lily
Ivy may be gone, but her legacy lives on (and that's not necessarily a good thing) in this sexy thriller. Lily (Alyssa Milano) is a young woman from the Midwest who leaves behind her sheltered life and travels to California to study art. Lily quickly discovers that one of her professors, Donald Falk (Xander R. Berkeley), has taken a decidedly non-academic interest in her. Later, when Lily moves into an apartment with a group of fellow students, she finds that one of her new flatmates, art-school playboy Gredin (Johnathon Schaech), has amorous designs on her. While looking through a closet, Lily finds a diary from Ivy, a teenage temptress with a dangerous talent for wrapping men around her finger. Lily begins remaking herself in Ivy's image and engages in passionate affairs with both Donald and Gredin, but Lily doesn't realize until it's too late that her powers of erotic manipulation can have terrible consequences. Poison Ivy II: Lily was the follow-up to 1992's Poison Ivy, though the original film's director (Katt Shea), screenwriters (Melissa Goddard and Andy Ruben), producer Peter Morgan, and star (Drew Barrymore) all declined to participate in this production.

Poison Ivy III: The New Seduction
This third installment in the meretricious Poison Ivy series explores a different branch of Ivy family tree. Jaime Pressly stars as Violet, sister of Ivy, who returns to the home of the Greer family. As little girls, Violet and Ivy were traumatized when they were forcibly taken away from the Greer home and their best friend Joy -- after their housekeeper mother was discovered in an affair with the head of the household, Ivan Greer (Michael Des Barres). Now it's eleven years later and the widower Ivan, his grown-up daughter Joy (Trishalee Hardy) and new housekeeper Mrs. B (Susan Tyrrell) welcome the gorgeous, post-adolescent Violet back with open arms. Just like her sister, however, Violet is a scheming tramp and home-wrecker. She quickly shares cocaine and sleeps with Joy's sexually frustrated boyfriend Michael (Greg Vaughan) and seduces Ivan with a topless dip in the pool. When those around her begin to suspect that Violet has less than honorable intentions, she turns homicidal, murdering the Greers one by one, to Joy's horror.

I first watched Poison Ivy in December '93 when I was at a hotel in Austin and I saw Drew Barrymorry nothing like she was in E.T. She had her best clips towards the end when she crashed a car and then when she had her last encounter w/the girl. The other episodes were also filled w/suspense in different angles. She came in different versions and she was so seductive and destructive in both of them. It took her death to end the danger

A "three disc box-set" means it's one DVD disc in a single case with two movies on one side of the disc and one movie on the opposite side of the disc. Does NOT include the fourth movie of the series, "Poison Ivy: The Secret Society", which is self evident in the title. The low quality is what you'd expect for three movies crammed onto one DVD disc. Nice to have if you just want to see the movies again and don't care so much about High Definition quality picture and sound.

It's a classic move-in-and-take-what-she-wants story (at least for the 1st and 3rd) and I'm glad they bundled them for me to find years down the line.

I was so impressed with the speed and accuracy of the first item, I tried to reorder a second copy of the same DVD. It was paid for thru pay pal...but the order never shipped. The amount was finally creditted to my pay pal account but what I really wanted was another copy of the same DVD....bummer.

I like about the dvd was it was brand new and at a awesome low price. I decided to buy it cause it is hard to find all three movies on a dvd.

I got this cause 2 of my favorite ladies are in it- Drew and Alissa. Now, the blonde from part 3 [from My Name Is Earl] is on my faves, too:P. Part 1's the best thogh. I got alittle boared with part 2, and saw it in 2 sessions. I viewed Alissa as more of a victim, in that [2nd] one. Maybe that's why I liked it the least lol. The actresses were great in all of them [and very easy on the eyes]. This was money very well spent:D. I wish the "model" posing in the art class, at begining of part 2, had a biger part.

I purchased this 3-pack video "Poison Ivy/Poison Ivy 2/Poison Ivy 3: The New Seduction (2006, DVD)" on 10/03/08 and find it very intertaining.
I like the Poison Ivy 3-pack movie set because of the possibility
of being a true account in todays world. I will enjoy this set for many years to come.

I loved that it came in a timely manner and was in great condition. I decided to buy this movie because I want the second movie, but all three movies came together, so great!
