So Chevelle has changed alot over the years. I bought this cd when it first came out, and honestly I hated it. But what did I know? I wasn't into anything with distortion. A few years ago I dusted off the album and gave it another shot. Its quickly became one of my favorite cd's. Its very raw and un produced, the way rock should be. It has a kick ass "open" that moves into the first song "point #1". The guitar work is very origianal, exceptionally so in the songs "mia" and "blank earth". My favorite song on the disc has to be "sma", it has so much energy and the guitars have so much power. Its awesome. If you buy this, don't expect the same Chevelle that wrote "The Red" and "Vitamin R". They have matured alot, but this debut is something worth owning.

This CD is the first album put out by Chevelle. If you are a fan and have some of their other albums, and you enjoy seeing the evolution of a band then this one is a perfect addition to the other Chevelle albums. I highly recomend that if you purchase Point #1 then continue on and buy there other three albums: Wonder What's Next, This type of thinking could do us in, and the one that came out yesterday, Vena Sera.

Good and unknown.
) I have always been a fan of Chevelle, but I didn't know this even existed until years later. So after purchasing it on eBay, it is now a part of my CD collection. This is a very underrated and widely unknown CD because it came out on a lesser known record label. Every song on this has its own sound and is an overall success in my book and that is saying a lot about a band who didn't become mainstream until their second album came out.
