great. this is a great pocahontas vhs movie from 1996. It was in good shape and was mailed very rapidly. I bought it for my daughter, our video store doesnt have this particular movie available for rent. So the only way I found it was on ebay of course. I was able to not only watch it was as if I rented it but bought it to be seen over and over by my nieces as well as my daughter.

Racial and inter species tolerance and respect.
The music is excellent " Colors Of The Wind" was from this movie.
John Smith and Pocahontas meet, share adventures as she teaches him native beliefs . Her father disapproves ; he is wounded and returns to England.
A beautiful movie. For any age.
Great for a childs collection.
Recommend this one.

I think this movie is great for children. It teaches them that even though we all don't look the same, on the inside we are all the same. It reminds us of all the little and simple things we take for granted.

Pocahontas (1996, VHS)This item was purchase for my wifes reading class at Clay Elementary School. The students first read the book and than watched the movie and saw what the movie had left out. So it was used as a reading reward.

My daughter asked me to order this video for her because the children that she keeps destroyed her older one. We were please with the product other than the case being broken. It took over a month for it to be delivered. We are very pleased with the product.

Caution--when you finally give these away/sell these Disney favorites the kids will decide they didn't really want to give them up and it will cost you almost as much to replace as it did to get them in the first place!

dissatisfaction with packingI'm relatively new to EBay, so I don"t know how often this happens. When the video arrived, it was only in a plastic mailing sleeve-no packing material, protective anything. Not seeing anything wrong, at first, I popped it into the VCR. The movie had a little distortion at the top edge, but I've gotten them from Disney with a little of that, so I wasn't surprised.
The problem came when I rewound the tape. There was a huge crack radiating from one of the tape spindles. On rewinding, it was very loud! That's when I noticed the crack. The problem , I think. was simply insufficiant packing. Have resolved the problem with the seller, and am satified that it won't happen with them again.

I love this movie mostly because of the phenomenal soundtrack and how it was based on a true story. I really enjoyed Pocahontas the first time I saw it in theaters and it is a pity that she [and Mulan] are not put into the spotlight more often with the other Disney heroines. This is a great buy for someone who enjoys a princess story that is out of the realm of 'Once upon a time'.

I bought this VHS tape because I needed that movie to add to my collection. Now that you can no longer buy VHS tapes new in stores I have gone to E-Bay to find certain Disney movies. This one was in good shape and was described as working,the price was very reasonable so I took a chance and bought it.

This has always been my favorite Disney movie of all time. It's one you can watch over and over again. This movie is for kids of all ages.
The songs are wonderful, as well as the characters. It incorporates many themes like love, humor, adventure, and drama. There's something for everyone.

Some controversy regarding this movie over the years, but it is a classic that I still enjoy. It is part of history and the kids enjoy the drama and well made story line. The colors and the animation are well represented.

This "new" classic from Disney has some of the most beautiful animation I have ever seen. The attention to detail, as well as the magnificent use of vibrant colors is truly amazing. This is the story of Pocahontas, the daughter of an Indian chief, who through a chance meeting with English Captain John Smith, who she subsequently falls in love with, changes the relationship between the English settlers and Indians forever. The story also examines unrealistic dreams about America, i.e. neverending gold and riches, and the greed that follows. While Disney has used liberal artistic license to change the history of Pocahontas, making her a much more politically correct and environmentally minded young woman, the basic story is one of love of family, friendship, trust and honesty, values that are appropriate for children of all ages. I recommend this story wholeheartedly and rest assured your family will agree.
