The movies very clear and starts to open your mind. Editing was very poor for a 2005 movie but actors did very good. Story line needs work but was fine. Better script would make the show great. It's a good video but needs better effects.

Entertaining. A beginners story to early America. Does not show her life married to John Smith nor her life in London or her early death.

  Pocahontas The Legend (2005, DVD)
Review created: 04/25/08

Not Rated. Running time is 102 minutes.
The story begins 1607, The unexplored wilderness of the Americas. About a beautiful Indian Princess named Pocahontas (Sandrine Hold) and an old Indian Prophecy. It is also about the arrival of a ship from England, sent by King James to explore the wilderness of the Americas. Most of these men were outcasts of their own world. Trouble begins as English and Indian laws collide. John Smith (Miles O'Keeffe)is taken captive by the feared Powhatan Confederacy where his put thru the Test of Endurance and sentenced to die. By custom the Princess claims John Smith as her own, to save his life. She helps him thru healing as they fall in love. Their strongest bond is their hope for peace between their people. She sets him free to return to his people where he is wrongfully blamed for the deathes of his countrymen accused by treacherous Sir Edward Wingfield (Tony Goldwyn). What must Pocahontas and John Smith sacrifice for love and peace? This is a wonderful love story.
