Plum Spooky by Janet Evanovich (2009, Hardcover)

Wonder why the between books are so different. The Plum family didn't make an appearance in the story, until Chapter 21 or 22 - almost the end. It was a memorable family dinner, though. The story was good, with the usual amount of chuckles, but this "between book" had only a smattering of contact with Joe, Ranger, Connie - no contact with Vinnie. Thank goodness, Lula was involved! The story moved along well, but the end was abrupt. Not sure, I'll invest in anymore "between books."

I love the 1 thru 14 series that Janet Evanovich writes, but the Plum Series is just as good. This book is the best of all the Plum Series books, I laughed my head off. My Husband is from New Jersey and I have spent years at the Jersey Shore and Ms. Evanovich really catches the essence to Jersey people!
Do not pass up getting this book!!!

Not up to Janet Evanovich's standard. Dull, repetitive and did not do the Jersey Devil justice. A few laughs but not worth the tedium.

I did not think this book was as good as many of the other books she has written. It was just too far out there.

I enjoy all Janet Evanovich books. she can always get a laugh with the quirky things that go on in Stephanie Plum's life. This book focused more on Diesel other than Ranger or Morelli. They were rarely mentioned. Grandma was even sedate in this book. Over all I enjoyed it and would recommend this book.

I realize her in-between books aren't really up to par with the real "Plum" series, but they do have some great laughs and adventures in them. This book, I thought, fell way below average on her work, even for an in-between. Have to say this is my least favorite out of ANY of the books she has ever written, old and new.

If you like the 1-14 and the other inbetween books you will like this diesl is just as funny as weird as even and poor miss Plum she just makes you laugh

Every Plum novel Evanovich writes is delightful and engaging - this one is no exception. Plum Spooky is a great "in-between" Plum novel for fans waiting to read Evanovich's next Plum number.

Love all Janet's books. Quick, easy and enjoyable reading. It just takes you away. Always looking forward to the next one.

I like all books by Janet Evanovich. As soon as you start reading her books you forget everything else you need/should be doing and stay put until you finish the book.

Have so many of her books. She is so funny. Got to see what will happen next. Love the series of Stephanie Plum. Grandma is hilarious. Ranger needs to let loose.

Another in the Stephanie Plum series ( so I'm not sure why it is a "between-the-numbers"; book) of rollicking comedy and adventure as Diesel drops back into bounty hunter Stephanie Plum's life and they chase 2 characters who would scare the be-jesus out of any half-way sane person. Wulf is an opportunistic killer who partners with Martin Munch, boy physics genius, in a rush to take over the world. And then there's the monkeys (plurel) and the legendary Jersey Devil, as well as a plethora of interesting characters who live in the Pine Barrens...the Easter Bunny, Sasquetch, the Fire Farter (I kid you not).

Of course, it's not great literature but reading Evanovich IS pure candy and laughing-out-loud funny...enjoy!

Not as good as the "number" books, but Evanovich keeps your attention.I missed having more Ranger and Joe time, but Diesel is always interesting---even if somewhat unbelievable. If you are a "Plum reader," then you will want to read this book. If you have not read a Plum book yet, I would recommend beginning with the "number" books first.Pl

I started reading Janet Evanovich book this summer and really enjoy them. I have been watching for them on E-bay. I really enjoyed this book, the e-bayer I purchased from was great.

I absolutely love the Stephanie Plum novels. They are fun and easy to read stories that will make you laugh out loud. The characters are very believable and just get better and better in each subsequent novel. This novel was filled with thrills and chills, and its a necessity for any Plum fan. Enjoy!

Like all of her books. I have enjoyed her work for many years and would recommend this as good reading for anyone.

I received this book just in time for Halloween! Added more laughter to my day. This "between the plums" addition is fun to read as Evanovich is the best!

Janet Evanovich spins a story that holds your interest, is funny and adds a little romance. Nothing is overdone. Very relaxing reading. Makes me laugh out loud. I try to read all of her books.

I could not remember if I read this book or just the preview in another book... I have the Stephanie Plum series, and read them over while waiting on a new installment. I have to buy - again - books One through Five. Loaned to a non returner!

I love the books, and have the whole set. I would encourage all my friends to read these books. They are not only about her many adventures they are also funny.

as with many of her "between the numbers" books, this one made me laugh hard out loud wtih every page I turned.. I'm glad I decided to pick it up here, because it will become like this whole series, yet another book that I will enjoy many evenings from now when I need a good laugh..

Another awesome book by Janet Evanovich. She is a master of comedy. I recommend this book to anyone that can read.
