Please Stop Laughing at Me... by Jodee Blanco (2003, Paperback)

If you've ever been the victim of a bully, or if you were a bully yourself, this is an important read for you. This is quite an inspirational memoir, the author suffered such horrid treatment at the hands of her peers (and teachers), this is a book about redemption.

I enjoyed the book very much. I got it one day and was done the next and really hated putting it down to go to work. It is a book I think everyone should read whether they were bullied or if they were the bully. I bought it cause I have a grandaughter that has Klippel Feil Syndrome and is very small for her age. She is one of those ancient children always thinking about how wrong things are done to other people. She is very quiet and now I have given her the book to read. She is ten and one day as I drove the 60 miles to see them I heard the author on a talk show with Diane Reemes (sp) and was convinced this was a book that I wanted to read. Now I have to find the next one Please stop Laughing at Us. How brave she was to go back to her reuinion and not know how she would be treated.
