It's hard to find any kind of books with a platypus in them. I have a grandchild that has watched his grandmother's collection of platypuses grow slowly. He read the book the day I received it and even though he reads above the reading level...he thought it was a very cute book and especially the pictures.

The illustrations are great and the story is cute. My daughter loves Chris Riddell's Platypus series, so this was a must have. I rated the book as "good," but my 3 year old would give it "excellent" since she reads it several times a day!
