Platinum Collection by Genesis (CD, Sep-2005, 3 Discs, Rhino Records USA)

Compilations, by definition, can never be all things to all people. I found this to be a very good collections of Genesis songs, going back to their earliest recordings (Peter Gabriel era) to the most recent Phil Collins stuff. They even threw that new singer a bone for one song in here. I'm glad to hear they (Collins, Banks & Rutherford) have reformed to tour in 2007. This collection is far superior to the "Turn It On Again - The Hits" collection from 1999, not only for being a 3-disc set, but for the simple fact they didn't edit song lengths to make them fit on a disc (I hate that). I'm sure you'll enjoy this, although the newest-to-oldest order of songs is strange.
