A botanist friend of mine had this book. Once I skimmed through it, I knew I had to own it. Plants of the Gods serves as a great, in-depth reference for off-the-beaten-path plants, herbs and their history. A lot of Shaman, spiritualistic and ancient uses for these plants are described, as well. Lots of color photos. Simply a beautiful, intelligent and knowledgable read.

Absolutely, by far, the best book out there about hallucinogens.
Of course, if you're not interested in reading about God's Plants that he gave to mankind - then, you'll probably not like it...
