Planet of the Apes (DVD, 2001, English/Spanish Versions)

remake of the classic movie series...too bad only one movie was made in the new generation....could of conitinued the way this movie ended.

I really enjoyed this movie. It is nothing like the old original ones with Charlton Heston, the scenes and everything being 21rst century and all. And also it is a good family flick for all ages. I got a steal on it being it was preplayed, and did not have to drive my gas out to get delivered from Ebay right to my door, along with several other good movies for alot less than one new store purchased movie. These helped, because we had just purchased our very first DVD Recorder/Player, also a real deal on Ebay. I can not thank all those who who make the real deals reality on Ebay like these. Again I highly recomend this movie to all, for the price, you can not beat it.

this is a great dvd. I used to own this movie and it was stolen from me twice. so I hope 3 times a charm. I am going to have to say that the story was ok but the action is cool.

It was worth watching and graphics were good but there were too many story-line gaps and flaws. The ending did not piece together good like the original did. It was interesting and still worth watching though.

Weird! Definitely a disappointment. It can't hold a candle to the original movies. Actually prefer to watch the TV series over this Tim Burton disaster.

I enjoy watching Planet of the Apes movies. This dvd was indeed a bargain. I viewed it last night and it played very well.

I loved the begining ...If it just would have stayed true to the very 1st one we would have had a mega super hit ....It fell flat after the begining & was even alittle funny .I was looking for the old city from the original & never saw it ...They could have started over & redone each one & made Millions ...I could use some of that money just for telling them this ,I'd be glad to help reright it & doit the way (we ) the people are looking for a Planet of the apes movie should be done !!!!!

I found this movie hard to stay with, I think mostly because it didnt hold a candle to the original. I would not want to watch this movie again where the original I have watched many times.

I grew up a fan of every Ape movie made during the 70's, so I was really interested how the new Ape movie would compare. Well, in short it did not dissapoint. The cast was great, the storyline had threads of the old Apes and the rest was new, and the special effects was above par.
I watched it with my family; wife and two kids aged 4 and 7. Nobody was scared or had ill effects due to the movie. Kids thought the apes were very cool looking and laughed at some of the antics. This is by far the most violent movie my kids have seen tho.
If you are an Ape fan then this movie will NOT dissapoint. I highly recommend it.

The film is a relic, is old but it does not forget. It is an interesting film.
I have always liked this film, and wanted to obtain first that they left.

The original was my favorite movie when I was a kid. Remakes aren't usually as good as the original. But it was a good action movie. The movie does make you think and the ending was a little of a shock for me. I kept expecting the Statue of Liberty scene when I watched it the first time.

I saw this film for the first time over my sister's house and thought I wouldnt like it, but I was wrong, it's now one of my favorites and I watch it a lot.
