Description POINT BLANK DS for the Nintendo DS by Bandai America Games continues the adventures of Dr. Dan and Dr. Don, the heroes of the POINT BLANK series. While the series, which uses a light gun controller, hasnt seen much action in recent years, the transition to the DS and to the touch screen brings the series back and shows that its just as strong as ever, even without the gun controller. There isnt a story mode or even much of a plot in POINT BLANK DS. Dont expect to be shooting terrorists or battling the undead; instead, the game is a collection of 40 different shooting mini-games, many of which will keep even the most experienced of players engaged and challenged. Gamers will have to shoot cardboard cutouts, take down hungry piranhas as they leap at Dr. Dan and Dr. Don, go for accuracy on the bulls eye, and more. The huge variety of mini-games will test players in just about every area from accuracy to speed to reaction times. Players have several different choices in playing these mini-games. Arcade mode randomly selects the challenges; practice mode allows players to hone their skills; and freeplay mode gives gamers the option of playing any of the mini-games. Older gamers who remember the POINT BLANK series will be thrilled to see its return with POINT BLANK DS. The transition from light gun to stylus and touch screen comes off very well, and players will find the fast-paced mini-games challenging and fun.
