This book has everything that I would want in a romantic novel. He loves her but doesnt know it, she loves him and doesnt know it.... they have to find out the hard way to love each other... Great ending... I have read this book over and over several times, and I highly recommend it to everyone

Waste of money.

This book is insane. I hopped on the "Pirates" bandwagon for a while and thought I'd give this one a whirl. But although probably an accurate portrayal of life in the 17th century, I've just never seen how rape can be successfully incorporated into a supposed romance novel. And even if you could get past that, methinks the "heroine" dost protest too much towards the end anyway. Just skip this one and get a Lisa Kleypas book.
