  Farewell Captain Jack Sparrow!

Since I work in a retail store I get alot of different views on this movie. Some people say that its wasn't that great and Others loved it. I dont wanna spoil this movie but if you have not seen it then you really should, its just as good as the other ones, if not better. The thing that upsets me is the fact they decided it was the last one in the trilogy but they ended it, leaving plenty of ways to continue the series. Thats the one thing I will say is Fast forward through the credits and watch the little surprise ending.

I know this may not be an awsome review, but if you liked the others pirate movies than you will love this one and want more!!

Beaucoup trop long.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End(2007)
Review created: 12/16/07

This is the third and possibly the final installment for the Pirates Of The Caribbean series. Having been filmed back to back with the previous film, Dead Man's Chest, we pick up where we left off with the gang. Jack Sparrow has just been swallowed alive by the Kraken and the East India Trading Company has control over Davy Jones and his devices of torture. Tom Hollander reprises his roll as the menacing Lord Beckett who is attempting to wipe out any and all pirates, (film opens w a line up to the gallows). This time there's not as much explaining to do to follow along with. The final showdown may seem a little querky to the audience being that it's only between three ships out of several hundred, however the visual effects are dazzling and graphic. In this film, Bill Kighy, (Davy) and Naomie Harris, (Tia Lama) have a chance to really appeal to the audience with their relationship as well as having Bill switching back and forth from half human/half squid to an actual human in the effects department. The film also introduces an old pirate brethren hymn called, Hoist The Colours.

Well written, kept the same actors and humorous interplay between them. Thought the beginning sequence a little depressing but probably was accurate for the times. balance of movie was fast paced and enjoyable.

the movie was well put together and made, but nothing beats the first one. I felt in this movie there was a lot of holes, but we got the general idea, and the special affects were great! the product shipped very fast at a reasonable price.

'Pirates' Trilogy ends with a bang!

The third and final enstallment of the 'Pirates' trilogy is spellbinding!! Hans Zimmer's musical endeavors are, I think, at his best here. Being a musician myself, this is one thing I really focus on when watching movies. With so many surproses around every corner, you'll be sitting on the edge of your seat along with that tear in the corner of eye waiting for you to just let go. 5-Star perfoprmances, structure, and of course, the score!

  Pirates, the Dark Side
Review created: 02/09/08

If you are a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean series like I am, then this movie is a MUST have. But, be warned! This is the darkest Pirates ever! It still has plenty of fun in it, but most of this ones humor is more adult oriented. It also has a very serious, dark quality to it that I would not recommend for younger children. But, for us adults, go buy it! You'll love it! And the ending leaves you wondering, Pirates IV maybe? 5 stars to Disney for a movie adults can enjoy without a bunch of gratuitous sex or foul language!

I needed to finish the series of the movies, what I didn't like about it that it was to long and to drawn out. Why I bought it is because I wanted it so I bought it, and it completed the series.

Exciting, distracting and quite possibly permanently concentration impairing, what Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End offers is a wonderfully scenic medley of impressive action sequences so lengthy, elaborate and numerous that remembering what came before becomes a kind of test of mental focus.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World' End

I liked the continuing adventures of all the characters introduced in the earlier movies. At sometimes, the movie slows down a little once the action picks up it turns out to be pretty good. Overall I like this movie along with the complete trilogy.

I like the Pirate's movies a lot. Many people I know didn't care for the third as much as the other two movies. I however thought that it has the same showmanship of the other movies although it is admittedly darker. I bought this because I wanted to own all three.

  A Rushed Opportunity
Review created: 06/03/09

10 minutes shy of 3 hours. Probably one of the most confusing films that I actually enjoyed watching, it had some clever and funny parts, again with all the irony, but boy I wish they would have taken more time with it. 2003, 2006, and 2007? You can tell this one was put out the door quick.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Review created: 04/04/09

What more can you say except for this being the 3rd installent of such a great movie, the first leaving you wanting more, and the 2nd one pleading for a sequel.
Johnny Deep and Orlando Bloom characters being in it, makes it quite intense. Don't have much to say about Kyria, though. She is not realistic enough for me. I'm not one for the HEROINE being an intricate part of a movie such as this. The ending seems to leave open that fact that perhaps there may be another one. If not, maybe the writer should consider it.

  They Keep Getting Better!!!
Review created: 04/02/09

Pirates 4 is in the making, and at the rate they're going, they're going to have to add something in the ratings that is even better than excellent. Each movie is just a bit better then the one before it. Love all the humor and edge of your seat action. Definitely a family movie to me, but you'll enjoy it all on your own, as well.

  Back To The Past
Review created: 02/13/09

This is a rollicking movie, with a phenomenal soundtrack, often breathtaking cinematography, an action-laden script, and a delightfully tongue-firmly-in-cheek performance by Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow. It is a bit longer than I expected, but that's not bad for an enjoyable viewing experience. The two-disk set limited edition has some wonderful bonus features, too--though one, "Bloopers of the Caribbean," seems to be missing. I couldn't find it anywhere on the DVD set I bought, at least.

Also be warned: if your DVD player is more than 5 years old, the feature film disk may not play properly on your DVD player. It may not play at all. According to the customer service folk at DisneyDVD.com/support, some of the code on the film's disk is too new for older DVD players to read. But the additional features disk plays just fine.

Normally, the 3rd film of a trilogy won't necessarily make sense without one's first having seen the other two, but this film does stand on its own. Still, seeing Pirates I and Pirates II will enhance one's appreciation of what otherwise would be incomprehensible inside jokes in Pirates III.
